Ha ha mum2one. When our DD first got her proper bed, we looked in at bedtime and couldn't see her. She had slipped down between the bed and the wall! She was fine and didn't see what the fuss was.:D

Angela I've got most done, two classes of mini felt stockings, I kept the tree in the right season all year, completed DGS stocking, and did the Frank turner lyrics stitch that in the end I gave to ds1 for his 21st in the 21st. Just got a crocheted Ds cover to do that ds2 asked me for in the summer so he knows m doing it even if it's not a pres on the day. I made one yesterday but got the measurements wrong.

Gave a good Christmas Eve tomorrow all.

Hope everyone had a good Xmas and Boxing Day.

Touch wood it all went off ok, shattered Xmas eve, cinema X 2 visits, crem for flowers, late dinner/early tea in pub.

Miss hoodie she's been a star, she's over the moon with her Xmas gifts, even the clothes we're right....

Bless her heart - I was annoyed with her (in the nicest ways) I lost my camera last yr - when grandad hoodie saga - got bigger one, but lost compact one, she brought me one for Xmas... She wouldn't take a penny off nanny and grandad hoodie.

We're just coming down with colds and bugs - think it's been all the rich food, decided no roast for 2mor, bacon, egg and chips ..xx

I will get a new thread for 2016 sorted out in next couple of days xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • Glad you had a great Christmas mum2one, looking forward to the new thread.
    Hope everyone is well.
    Great Christmas here
Ds1 was 21 on the 21st so that always starts our Christmas celebrations proper.
Christingle service followed by B&q at dd1s on Christmas Eve which we all went to.
Had mil and all the kids and their partners round Christmas Day, the kids all bought us a lovely canvas with us and all of them on, it will take pride of place in the lounge.
Lazy day yesterday just watching DVDs and crocheting, plan more of the same today then my sister and her family are round on Monday with mum so bit of a buffet then. Not sure what else is planned.

    Hi everyone,
DS1 and his gf left earlier today, I'm in the middle of doing a jigsaw and waiting for some laundry to finish (accidentally put in on the extra long cycle), started tidying the rooms upstairs.

For once this year it feels more like a holiday than mega stress and especially the days between Christmas and New year because my friend helped so much (she bought loads of food, drink) and helped cooked the meal and has been staying since 24th and will stay a few more days.

I'm so glad everything went well Mrs M and Mum2one.

Did any of you watch that tv documentary about Christmas lights few days ago? Someone had an indoor lit up village and I wondered if it was Susan's house.

As my friend is downstairs I'll go into more indepth replies another time. I've told her about our Santa Challenges and asked if she'll get involved with me doing it through the year as I've lapsed being as organised as I used to in the past.

Her daughter, partner and baby grandson came to my house last night for a short visit as they were visiting with other family that day so that was nice for the friend as she was given her presents.

I am quite amazed about this Christmas after all the sagas with my dad earlier in the year and we had our Polish Christmas day (24th) at my parents house and they came to mine the next day.
