As I haven't found a savings A/C with 3% interest & Instant Access...
They happen to be called current accounts, but I, and many, many others on this forum use them as savings accounts - complete with 3% or more interest and Instant Access.
Actually they're called things like Club, and Plus, and Vantage and 1-2-3.Eco Miser

Update- Just applied for TSB Classic Plus online and have been accepted (This my spending money A/C) and will open change for save Savings A/C So round up all the small numbers. Once A/C Up & Running will open Barclays A/C. So all sorted and thanks for all the posts/advice etc....0

Me also - I opened a second TSB account using the computer at computer (just in case).
Also opened a 6% M&S regular saver (£250pm).0 -
Update- Just applied for TSB Classic Plus online and have been accepted (This my spending money A/C) and will open change for save Savings A/C So round up all the small numbers. Once A/C Up & Running will open Barclays A/C. So all sorted and thanks for all the posts/advice etc....

TSB operate a "Save the Change" scheme whereby every time a debit card is used, the amount debited is rounded up to the nearest pound and the amount overpaid is deposited into the user's savings account.0 -
Ah right, that could be it. Though this scheme makes my head hurt as it would be quite ridiculous to pay pennies into a sub-1% savings account if you can put up to £50Kish into 4, 5 and 6% accounts.0

Yes, me too; but I can see that it may encourage the less money-wise among us to save, even if it's small amounts....
(Thinking of a couple of members of my own family here.....
