u get phone insurance RAC Breakdown cover as well & travel insurance with that A/C so that why I going with barclays....

Hello, you never mentioned anything "insurance" before now. But it appears you had well prepared your "case", which suggests you are a Barclays employee having a bit of sport on an internet forum (prove me wrong, please).

How much a month are you paying for the phone insurance, RAC Breakdown and travel insurance? (Hint: you will not be getting it for free).

Tech Pack £7.50 a month, Travel Pack £8.50 a month, Home Protection Pack £12 a month.

    Account holder 0.1% interest.

Probably not exactly the very worst deal in the market, but not far from it?

I don't work for Barclays at all.. I forgot to mention it.... Don't really want 2 TSB Plus A/Cs as one A/C with 5% interest rates will do me & put rest of money in Barclays Current A/C for spending on my self & might open every day saver to put £100 aside each month

This thread is making my head spin!!

But can someone help me because I am sensible and WANT interest!!!

I already have a TSB Classic Plus account. How do I open a second one?
Do I just go to their webpage and open a new account or do I do it through my existing account.

ps OP why on earth don't you open a second TSB account and use that to save £100 a month - at least you would get a decent interest rate!

I opened both of mine from their website without being logged in to online banking.

people report that they have to apply when not logged in to their TSB account. Hope this will work for you, too.

only the OP will understand (may be) the logic.

That may or may not be true now, but it wasn't last month.

If you can't get a second TSB a/c, why not go for Nationwide, also at 5%, or any of the other accounts paying 3% or more, rather than one paying a tenth of that? For regular monthly savings you can even get 6%!

Thanks for the advice But want one Current A/C With interest (TSB Classic Plus) Use that for spending things for my self etc & Earn Interest on it.... Might keep my HSBC Current A/C- Savings A/C Or open Barclays Current A/C for bills wages and rent etc. You also can have phone insurance with it and gadget cover which is good for me etc... & Have Barclays Everyday saver with cash card so I can Save/put away £100 per month for a rainy day etc.. As I haven't found a savings A/C with 3% interest & Instant Access...

I am afraid, you make very little sense.

Why do you want to keep any money in a 0.1% AER account when you know there are plenty of 3, 4 and 5% accounts available to you?

I wanna put my money in the TSB Classic Plus A/C which pays 5% Interest as I can do all the Requirements needed for that A/C E.G paying in £500 each month & can keep it under £2000 & Still earn 5% interest... But need another A/C For the rest of my money... I looked at Lloyds A/C With interest but I don't think I will meet the requirements needed to open that A/C......

I Don't really wanna bank with Halifax or Nationwide or Yorkshire Etc.... I would rather stay with HSBC or Open Barclays A/C For the Phone insurance/RAC Breakdown cover etc or Open Lloyds A/C For the interest rates If i could meet the requirements but don't think I will be able to...

If HSBC Or Barclays Made a new current A/C With interest then I would open one but they don't at the moment....
