  • hi all, I hope I am in the right place :rotfl: I am a longstanding member of the forum but have created a new ID as don't want to announce to those we know yet.

Anyway, my husband and I decided to start trying for another baby last weekend  So just waiting for AF to arrive, which should be any day, and then we can start.

I have ordered some cheap ovulation and pregnancy tests from eBay to try.

So a little bit of background - we already have a lovely son who is nearly 4, so thought it was time to start trying for a brother or sister for him. My first pregnancy was pretty awful with bad sickness, depression and spd, so it has taken me a while to even think about having another. However I really am excited to try for another littlie now  although a bit scared of the experience again.

Anyway nice to meet you all, and I hope I can be added to the list please :D

Why do you think you are out this month already??

Hugs for those who need one, especially black ribboner as I know exactly how you feel. I found out on Christmas eve at my 12 week scan I had miscarried at 10 weeks. Most days I'm fine, but every now and then I think 'why did this happen to us' (usually when I read.about or see a mum that is treating their.child like rubbish). I'm dreading my due date, so I plan on doing something to keep myself busy so I don't dwell on it too much. I really hope you get your sticky bfp soon.

Welcome to all the new members.x

Thanks for that. The rational part of my brain thought this was the case but the other half had visions of a different hole :embarasse

I don't temp, but I always assumed it was a different hole . . . I thought it was called basic basal temperature because you take it at the "base" of your body . . . So glad I have this thread to set me straight! :p
  • Oh lulu, why do you think you're out? It's not over till AF sings . . .

Thanks ThinkPink. That must have been awful, I'm so sorry. Hugs and best wishes for a healthy pregnancy soon x
  • Morning everyone :)

Welcome to all the new members :D

Commiserations for BFNs and CD1s :(

In terms of miscarriages I know how you all feel. I am always so happy when you lovely lot announce BFPs, but in the big wide world when those announcements come I don't feel as jolly, and I definitely get a mega attack of the green eyed monster. If I hadn't of miscarried in November I would have been about 22 weeks by now  It's so hard, Fx we all get our sticky BFPs soon.

BlackRibboner you can take your temperature orally or vaginally  Apparently vaginally is more accurate but I've always done it orally and got a predictable pattern. BBT stands for basal body temperature as it is your base temperature when you wake up in the morning :D

Lulu I'm guessing you think you're out as OH didn't play ball, so to speak?! I struggle with my OH too. He's always on board with DTD every other day on day 8, 10 and sometimes day 12, but beyond that it's a struggle and he will often tell me he's too tired! It is much better to bd in the run up to your positive opk though, rather than on the day of it, as this ensures sperm are there ready and waiting for the egg....so you're definitely not out just because you missed the day of your positive opk :D

AFM fertility friend predicts I'm 6dpo, so could I please be updated when you do the lists, thank you Kellykins.

Snapping you've hit the nail on the head. DTD last night but *ahem* the job wasn't finished.

I got a positive OPK on Wednesday at about 7pm, on Thursday at 7am and a negative at 7pm last night, and DTD at about midnight so I know there's no chance for me. He promised me that he would try harder and follow SMEP with me, that lasted 3 days. I'm fed up of it. I've been messed around too much with this whole thing.

Nobody should ever feel guilty for getting the green-eyed monster with this stuff. We all know it's difficult, especially for those of you who have MC in the past.

I'm now 2dpo, and beginning the 2WW. I'm not overly optimistic though - DH's reluctance to BD for fear of a December baby meant we only did BD once.

Three days until the house move, and the washing machine broke down last night. Water everywhere. Just to add insult to injury, I've had to spend money I didn't budget for on a replacement. Why does it all happen at once?

Add me to the list of people who thought you did temperature checking somewhere other than orally :rotfl:

Lulu, did your OPK say negative this morning? I got some Boots own brand ones which specifically say not to test till after lunch, which is the total opposite of what every other OPK kit says. Maybe you could get some of those and try them?

Black Ribboner and ThinkPink, I get horrible cases of the green eyed monster, but I can only imagine how much more intense it must feel having been that bit closer to having your baby. So unfair.

Ellesbelles and anyone else with AF, the countdown begins again - fingers crossed for you for next month. Get the corkscrew and enjoy your weekend!

Also, if people need adding to the front page please put it in pink with the details as below.

The closer you can write it to the front page style the better as I can copy and paste it as 99% of the time I will be posting from my phone.

    Thanks! :)
