Lulu, did your OPK say negative this morning? I got some Boots own brand ones which specifically say not to test till after lunch, which is the total opposite of what every other OPK kit says. Maybe you could get some of those and try them?
I've only ever used the cheapy OPKs (these ones) and the instructions for those are to test in the evening, as the LH surge happens during the day so evening is the best time to detect it. I stop drinking at 4pm, and test around 7pm to get a concentrated enough sample.
Not sure about how the other types work, like Clear Blue etc, so they may be looking at something different. The cheapy ones are pretty easy to read and sooooo much cheaper.:money:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
The clearblue digital dual hormone OPK says to test in the morning at least. I normally test twice a day though when I know I'm nearing OV, once in the morning and once in the evening.0

I wasn't planning on using any OPKs (partially expense but partially coz I wanted to see what happened) but these are so cheap, and at least I'll know if I ovulate!0 -

I use these too, I actually used them alongside CB ones this month (only cos I'd got them for free!) and the results were always similar. I test between 5-6pm (no drinking for 3hrs before).0 -
I've just bought a load to try and understand my cycle, as my BTT seems to be all over the place, and I've been on the pill for donkeys years so not even sure what regular is for me anymore. The books I read said to test in the afternoon when the LH surge is greater, but maybe those digital ones look at something else?Mortgage: [STRIKE]Apr 2014 £141, 415[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£137,491[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£128k [/STRIKE] Dec 2019 £81,6210

Sorry to hear about AF.
We DTD last Thursday, Saturday and this Tuesday. I can't really count last night, can I?
Last night possibly not if it wasn't erm... completed, but then saying that you can never say never. Tues was well within the fertile window though so that's good. Try to dtd tonight too if possible as you may not be too late. Good luck!0 -
Okay he surprised me and managed to DTD earlier. I've let him watch football as a reward. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Added you to the list Chickp
Yes there are no stupid questions!
So, I got a positive OPK this morning and a negative this evening, does that mean I've missed my chance? what DPO am I?
Thanks

It's definitely reassuring to know I'm not the only one on this emotional roller-coaster
I'm not sure we picked the best time to start ttc as I have an extremely stressful week at work next week. AF is due on Tuesday and mega-stress is worse wed-thur so I'm going to have to get on with it despite any any emotions.
I'm so scared that I'll never be able to have a baby and it's driving me a little bit mad if I'm honest! OH is no help as he just says 'it'll be alright' whenever I voice my concerns!
Is it silly that I bought a large box of tampax in the hope that I could tempt fate? :rotfl:0 -
Can I be added please? Will try and figure out how to get the colours working.
Lemon Tree (42) TTC #2 since 2/15
Thanks
cd24 here, wish AF would just arrive so we can get started on another cycle0
