Are you managing to take it at the same time each day, after 3 hours and before getting up? Mine do jump around if i can't keep the routine as well.
Does anyone know how important it is to have had 3 hours solid sleep first?
I've got a BBT but haven't been using it as I couldn't actually tell you the last time I didn't wake up at least once in the 3 hours before my alarm goes off and I didn't know how much it would affect it.
Also, probably quite a stupid question, will the temperature our heating's set at make a difference? It's set to come on about an hour before we get up and we change the thermostat all the time, depending on how warm it's been that day.0 -
Izadora I'd say try it as long as you don't get up before you take it.
We also change our heating a fair bit and it doesn't seem to overly impact unless I've accidentally left it on super high or low.Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Personal question time... Straight after BD'g does a lot of the sperm come out? I've tried lying there for ten minutes after but I feel like it's not staying in! (Sorry!)
As someone previously suggested, the semen is just the delivery medium. Like the first stage of a space rocket. So it doesn't matter if that's not 'staying in'.
The actual sperm move very quickly and will be out of the semen in through the cervix in less than a few seconds.
There's no point in trying to hold everything in. Although it can't harm to stay lying flat or slightly elevated for a few minutes after.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Lady at work today took me aside to tell me she's pregnant. They caught first month. She knows I've been trying a while which is why she told me on my own. I am very happy for her because she's a friend but when she left me alone I had a good cry, then struggled to keep it together for the rest of the day. I don't want to go work tomorrow now, just want to curl up in a ball under the duvet and cry.Happiness can be found in even the darkest of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light - Albus Dumbledore

That does sound better Rachy. Are you managing to take it at the same time each day, after 3 hours and before getting up? Mine do jump around if i can't keep the routine as well.
Yes I do it before I get out of bed on a morning and before I do anything and it's usually at 7am. I just hope I can understand the difference in temperature if it fluctuates so much already. No positive OPK yet but not expecting that until next week TBH0 -

Ah Millie, sorry to hear that. It is difficult to see other people get the things you want and especially so easily. It's nice that she was considerate though and hopefully she will remain that way. I'm sure she will understand if you are a bit low about it but hopefully you can both be supportive to eachother as time goes on.
Although a good cry does help. I have felt much better since the weekend when I had a meltdown.0 -
So sorry for the late response Pinkpetal - your news about your Dad must have been devastating. I hope that you get your BFP soon. xx
Hugs to cats for CD1, but well done for staying so positive about your cycle lengths.
Hugs also to Milliebob - I'm glad that your colleague was sensitive enough to tell you privately, and that you had the chance to cry alone too. It sucks that you had to hold it together for the rest of the day though - that must have been really hard. I hope that you've had lots of cuddles since you've been home.
I had another sucky day here too, as my sister had her 20 week scan today. I should be less than 8 weeks away from having Poppy right now, so it's been really hard for me. I'm very relieved that she found out that she's having a boy rather than a girl, as that has eased my mind slightly. My IBS has flared up as a result of all of the stress of building up to today and finding out, so I've not been sleeping properly, so that probably hasn't helped.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Hi all, I've been really down today, the bean that didn't want to play was due today. Luckily my oldest friend was off work (I'm having a horrible MS relapse so I'm off too) and he came round to keep me entertained so I didn't dwell on it. He's a good egg, I'm pleased I introduced him to hubby 4 years ago, he ended up being best man at our wedding and his fianc! is also one of my best friends and has been since childhood. The four of us are really close but he told me today she's come off the pill, I'm terrified that they'll conceive before we do again. Very selfish of me but I can't help it.
I'm CD 23 today, waiting for a week on Saturday when fingers crossed I'll get that BFP I've been waiting for. :money:Getting married 02.08.14
Wins for the wedding: membership for a 'wedsite' and app, £35 gift voucher for party supplies shop, £50 worth of hand painted signs, 1kg of heart shaped marshmallows :money:0
