    Hi all!

Just a quick one from me as I'm a bit snowed at the moment, but am trying to keep up with all the posts. Welcome to all the newbies! Hope your stays are short!

Mouse - I am in the TWW - could you please update me to DPO2? Thanks for doing the lists :)

Millie - I have been told this week that you should only take evening primrose when before OV to assist with CM, but you should stop taking it as soon as you OV. I was first told that it was fine for TTC, then told to avoid it totally - once they looked it up, they all agreed that is was okay to take before OV but absolutely to stop at OV. Clear as mud ;)

Yep I start taking evening primrose oil on CD1 and stop the day I get a positive opk. Not that anything I've been doing so far has worked!

Clara we're similar but I've jut taught myself to shove it in my mouth the second I wake up - only takes 1 min in the dark and then I snooze the alarm and go back to sleep. My thermometer saves the temp and shows it for 3 secs when you next turn it on so I don't have to write it down, I do that when I get up properly :-)

Thanks for the tips! I'll check and see if mine does that! xx

Mine does this too, and it was just a cheapo one from Amazon (£4 I think)...I'm ok through the week but on the weekends I set my alarm, take the temp and go back to sleep as soon as it beeps then check it later!

Thanks for the tips about getting in the mood...guess I'll just have to get it done but it seems to unromantic! I have some preseed so I might have to use that this week (sorry if TMI!)

  • Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Ive made it through today without spotting so far! 5dpo is when it started on the previous two cycles, so I feel ive gained a bit of a victory!

With the bbt, I just do it whenever I wake during the night. I figure as long as I've had 3 consecutive hours sleep it should be OK.

I like the - wine and chocolate zone, made me smile. I'm taking vitamin b with folic acid and a few other things, but only because I've tested deficient in them - not because ttc

I'm in two minds about the temping - I'm using the clear blue ovulation sticks - but keep reading about people who conceived when they relaxed and forgot about it. I don't know if that will add extra stress. Then again, another part thinks I should try it all. And let's face it, i can only kid myself I'm relaxed about this ttc business ;)

Just back from the acupuncturist - interestingly the first month I had it my AF my cycle changed from 30-33 days to 26! Very random - I'm hoping it's a sign that it's doing something.
I hope you are all hanging in there - sending luck to all those entering that ovulation zone and a big glass of red to the rest of you

Easily these are the opks I use http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006J6MO12?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
Also read some intersting stuff from Clearblue about anovulation - it has some info on pcos & opks (I think it's on the last page) that might be of interest

AngelThese are the ones I have started using too! I am having the same trouble using them at work that someone else mentioned about taking a pot in etc and so two were invalid. I am now doing them at home at 5ish

So according to one of my apps I am now entering my fertile period. As I've mentioned I have loads going on with my dad and also work is manic. How do people get 'in the mood' if you're shattered and extremely not in the mood?? I just want to go to bed and sleep for a week...nothing else!! Help!

So sorry to hear about your Dad Pink Petal.

My job is also manic with me being very unhappy there and so my mood isn't always good. Also, OH is away a lot and so we feel like our BDing is less spontaneous and not at all romantic. I do try and mix it up a bit though, leave work earlier if I can and I have done what Alex said about getting it out of the way early then snuggling up afterwards to watch TV as sometimes it can get like a chore if you have dinner, watch TV late then you feel even more tired when bed time arrives.
