Yes mine is stable too currently, I just read online yesterday that you should apparently let your doctor know if you are ttc or pregnant as you may need to up your dosage for first trimester.... I made an app anyway so I can get my referral back to the hospital underway. Good luckBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

I was only diagnosed recently but my doctor said it doesn't in itself affect fertility - it just impacts cycles which obviously means planning is harder. She also said going back when I'm definite pregnant was the main thing as I would need higher dose in first trimester as you say.
Ovia seems to have really mixed reviews! I've found FF works pretty well - simple but effective. Did you get a temp spike psychopathbabble? if not, isn't it quite unlikely that you've missed it?Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Unfortunately today I measured 2 hours later and had a few drinks last night.. But according to the bbt checker/adjuster thing it was still lower... I guess tomorrow will tell! I guess OH will just be getting lucky a lot more for now!
It's my first cycle of actually paying attention to what is going on so I'll see next week... I figured with the various bits against me it won't hurt to start tracking straight away to see what is going on.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Yeah I mentioned to GP as soon as we decided to ttc & she advised that I might need to increase dosage in 1st trimester. I might give fertility friend a go, I'm really not getting on with ovia atm.0

Just took opk and looks like I was confused about nothing... Obviously with PCOS it doesn't guarantee I actually ovulate but worth a shot!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

Thanks all. Just good to get things off my chest.
Not thought about temping but may try it. Always worried about scaring the hubby by adding more things to this ttc lark. Will look into it.
Like all of you I use ovia but haven't found it great but that could be because my cycle has been so irregular.
We've been trying 6 months but only 3 cycles just feels so long and hopeless especially as my sister doesn't seem to have had any problems and conceived straight away each time!0 -

Alex and Jojo you can abstain during the tww if you want but there is no need. After ovulation it's weeks before the baby is connected to your blood supply so you are fine to drink as normal and take many medications if you get ill (especially plain paracetamol which you can take while pregnant). It would drive me made spending half of every month restricting myself from normal things as if I was pregnant, when I'm generally not.
Thanks for his post Kynthia. I have been driving myself mad about it. I'm a very sociable person and always the one with a glass in my hand and never drive to social events. So when I have made comments about not drinking or taking the car places, everyone has noticed and people have just assumed immediately that I'm pregnant, which is really frustrating as it will make keeping it quiet very difficult. I am also trying to avoid invitations unless I know I am not pregnant, which is silly and so anti-social. Your comments have made me think differently but of course I will stop drinking if I get a BFP.
In other news, I've been poorly for 4 days with headache and nausea. Sounds like migraine which I've never ever experienced. Typical when this is our time to BD and OH is away for most of next week. We are doing our best though.
I'm also off all medications so that has made me feel unwell. I take meds for IBS, acid reflux and bladder control. So life is gonna be fun for people around me :rotfl:
So sad to read some of the stories on here too, some really strong ladies (and men) - you are inspiring0 -
Don't know what I'd do without you lot to waffle to! I really like Ovia and didn't get on with Fertility Friend, for what it's worth.
Due on Wednesday and not had any PMS symptoms yet, other than just now I was watching the episode of Glee dedicated to the actor Cory Monteith and bawling my eyes out.
Because I'm a poas addict I tested this morning (9/10dpo) which was negative.Happiness can be found in even the darkest of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light - Albus Dumbledore

Ovia is far more user friendly... Have updated both today to compare. Will give it until AF comes along and see which seems to work better for me!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Rachylou once you get your bfp then definitely comply with advice for early pregnancy (alcohol, medications, caffeine, etc). However apart from any medications that could do harm in early pregnancy you are free to live as normal while ttcing if you like.
Tricks for stopping people jumping to conclusions about not drinking are:
You are doing a 'dry' month for health reasons.
You are on medication, such as antibiotics, where you can't drink.
You are dieting and alcohol has too many calories (best said if drinking a low calorie drink).
Saying the coke you are drinking has vodka or amaretto in, or the tonic has gin in. How would they know?
Nurse a glass of wine for a while and get your OH to take gulps from it while no one is looking.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0
