Hi everyone.
I've been following this thread for a while now. I don't really belong in here (yet!) but thought it would be nice to chat to others who have been in the same position as we are currently in, I feel like I am going a little mad at the moment!
We've been together for 10 years and we're (finally!) getting married in May. We've been discussing TTC for a long time but both felt like we needed to wait until we were married. Now it's getting closer to the wedding we're both getting a bit impatient though and May feels like a lifetime away. We've made the decision to start trying in March.
I came off the pill just before Xmas, with the idea of giving my body a few months to get back to normal before we begin TTC. So far, it seems like everything is getting back to usual very quickly. I bought an OPK and ovulated on CD18 which appears to be pretty normal from what I've read? I've just ordered the Seven Seas vitamins so will start taking them as soon as they arrive. Now even March seems forever away and I know we're going to struggle to wait until then! I feel TTC is all I can think about. I spend hours just browsing the Glow app on my phone and reading posts like this online!
I don't really know what I'm trying to achieve here - just think I need to be told that I am not completely going mad! I am really trying to keep this between me and my OH and other than one friend haven't really confided in anyone else about this.
One question - have all of you guys who are already TTC completely cut out alcohol? I've already cut down, only drinking when we're out with friends rather than guzzling a couple of bottles of wine over the weekend at home.
Hope to join you guys properly soon - but not too soon, wedding dress to fit into! Must remember this :rotfl:0 -
Hey Tinks! I have cut down drinking but definitely not stopped - my doctor actually encouraged me to keep doing things that helped me relax, including going for drinks with friends, as I was getting so stressed about TTC!Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Hi all and welcome to all the newbies
So I think I'm on CD1.. Getting cramps and a bit of spotting.
Obviously never nice to see but seeing as this last cycle was 59 days it shows how messed up my body is. I have officially been off the pill for a year now so why is it still so messed up! Oh well onto the next cycle. Just getting really depressed by it all.. .
Sorry all just feeling down by it all!0 -
So we're at Disneyland this week, and AF arrived today. Haven't had time to be sad about it yet, and I had all my usual PMS symptoms so I think I knew it was coming- I packed tampons anyway! 28 day cycle this month, which is good. Onto cycle 9 :eek:Happiness can be found in even the darkest of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light - Albus Dumbledore

Evening all!
Well AF is here and bizarrely to some I'm actually happy about it! It's actually my first since my miscarriage in December and shows my body is actually working properly and getting ready to try again. After I spent nearly a year without a period because of my hypothyroidism I'm always happy to see the right things happening!0 -
Selina that's good to hear and encouraging for me - I'm almost 2 weeks post mmc now and everything has calmed down and thinking about starting to test for ov. Really hoping I get AF in a fortnight but know it can take a while to regulate things. Never thought I'd be hoping for AF haha!
Good luck to all for this month cycle XxMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0 -
Hey everyone,
Looks like today is CD1 of my 3rd cycle since coming off the pill at the end of Oct, though I'm pretty sure I didn't ovulate this month, have been using the Clear Blue ovulation tests and didn't seem to get an LH surge
Is that normal, do you think? I definitely had 2 high days and 2 peak days in Nov and Dec according to the pee sticks!
Also my period is about 3 days early. Could that be related to not ovulating?0 -
...update... 3 week since mirena coil removal...still no AF but having period like pains now for two days and headaches. Very bloated and constipated too (sorry if TMI). Also feeling very moody/emotional. Anyone else feel like this after mirena coil removal?
Thanks!0 -
Woop!! I know this is silly but I'm so happy this morning as I got a peak on my Clearblue OPK!! With my body being so crazy and all over the place this is just such good news
It's CD28 so BD-ing ahoy - lucky OHfingers crossed!!

Cats that's really positive, fx your cycles are starting to settle down.
Midget have you visited having your thyroid checked? It can reality play havoc with your cycles.
Tinks I tend to still have an occasional derrick during tww, but not cut it out completely, others prefer not to drink at all.
Millie fx for cycle 9.
Jojo & Apple I'm afraid I've no experience with the coil or opks, but my cycles were messed up after coming off the pill, & some symptoms that I was convinced were early pg symptoms
AFM, cd18, think ov was cd 12/13 so tww. This morning I've really dull ache in my right pelvis. It's in a similar kinda place I would get ov pains, & a similar kinda pain, but a lot more intense. Anyone else ever had this?0
