Anyway, feeling thoroughly down in the dumps today. CD1 and I spent 3 hours in a room with a Prego girl who can't talk about anything else and another woman who just got back from maternity leave and considers herself an expert in local nurseries. It was a cruel, cruel day.

I got the same comment MRN
So sorry to hear about AF, I was really hoping for you.
Oh I know, a girl I work with has just come back from maternity leave but she is great about it. She's had so many problems with conceiving both her kids so I don't begrudge her like I did at my old work when having babies was a hobby for some people..
Do you know what, I wish AF would decide what she's doing! I don't mind spotting, I don't mind heavy. What I do mind is a mixture of the two! I'm now only heavy when I go to the loo, there's nothing on a pad at all! This will happen for another 3 or 4 days which sucks! Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Morning all
After strange OPK's this month I think I'm now CD15 1dpo. We managed to dtd on CD13 so I'm hoping that's enough. I'm with the rest of you who are having difficulty getting OH to BD at the right time. It's such a passion killer too mentioning that I'm due to OV but it's the only way I can ensure we dtd at least once in that window!!
Lulu - sorry to hear about AF. This month is going to be our month as I'm cycle 6 too:D0 -

Last month I was giving OH a rolling commentary of my opks. Unfortunately it gave him severe performance anxiety and mini-OH shrunk in fear. I'm going to keep him completely in the dark this month, and hopefully when I jump on him in bed after my morning opk he'll think it's because I love him and not because I'm ov :rotfl:0 -
:j I am so ridiculously excited! I just used my saliva ovulation microscope and it is showing the ferning pattern which (in theory) means I'm now fertile. I'm on CD12, first month off the pill and according to my Fertility Friend app today til Monday would be my fertile days. I am truly gobsmacked that my body may actually be doing what it is meant to, when it is meant to!
Might have to use an OPK (first time!) later to see if that says the same. Have been checking CM too and it definitely changed in the last two days, but isn't EWCM yet.
Husband will be delighted with his weekend plans now!!0 -
Hi all
Welcome to all the newbies I may have missed. Been a bit hectic at work as I am on holiday next week (yipee!:cool2:), but I have worked out that AF is due half way through (boo:mad:), so I will miss out on a few days snorkelling.
I don't think I am in with a chance at all this month. I am CD16 today, keep forgetting to take OPK's to work to check (never got any +ve's past 2pm), and we have hardly BD'd at all this month. Before MC, I was ovulating around CD17 so might try tonight and see if we are super lucky, and then do OPK's from now until holiday to see if it is any later as my cycles are all over the show.
ThePug, congrats on the test - this method sounds fascinating. I read up on this and being a scientist, I love the idea of checking down a microscope to see signs of ovulation but have never got round to it.
What is it with blokes. The perception that they are sex mad is so totally different to the reality in my experience. It is like getting blood out of a stone sometimes, even though they know why they are doing it.
FYI, my OH has sexomnia too!!!! Always after a bit of a drink, he wakes up at 2-3am and has a bit of a fumble, them conks out again, and never remembers in the morning. I do joke that I (without being unfaithful) have gotten laid more than him since we have been together!
Second those that say nothing to worry about with the smears. In and out in minutes.
Hope you all have a great weekend getting all bow chicka wow wow with your OH's. Looking forward to seeing some BFP's from those in the long TWW.0 -
Quick update. Got home and did a digi OPK - positive so will be 0DPO tomorrow! Better get jiggy!0

Ooh fingers crossed for you Devil! And I'd definitely recommend one of the saliva microscopes, mine was under £20.
First thing I did when OH got home from work was to shove the microscope in his face so he could see (not content with having sent him a photo earlier) and promptly then took him off to BD. Have told him this'll be a daily thing until Tuesday - thinks all his Christmases have come at once!
Going out for dinner with friends tonight so I'll probably partake in a cocktail or two in the hope that they may be the last ones for a while (if we were very, very lucky) :beer:0 -
Evening!
Have fun DevilDolly! Good luck! Also ThePug; that sounds promising!
Aileth - lol, I have never considered performance anxiety so duly noted, I won't be telling OH too much!
Blueneleh - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Bluegreen - I've done the exact same thing before - faced with your own hairy legs was probably more embarrassing for me! I do agree that they are over fairly quickly though and aren't too traumatic. I've always been of the opinion that docs and nurses see so many of them they may as well be looking in your ear.
My Clearblue OV kit came today and just in time as it says to start testing from tomorrow. Exciting times. Let's hope I see an OV this month!

My OH also gets a bit of performance anxiety if I make a fuss about ovulating so I try not to mention it, and to make an effort to BD when he knows I'm definitely NOT ovulating too.
Unfortunately since I'm having these issues, we went to BD yesterday and I found a lump on his, ahem, tackle, so he is also off to the Dr on Monday. We are having no luck!
I second what others have said - smears are over before you realise they've begun. I always take a pantyliner though as sometimes get spotting afterwards.0 -
So I've realised although I want to wait to test until next sat I might be 10dpo tomorrow. Please tell me not to test until next Saturday . It'd need to be frer or super drug to show anything now right? I only have asda own brand. I'll be fine in the week, if only I can get through the weekend.
Tbh I've been so grumpy and emotional the last couple of days I think I have pmt so prob not pg anyway and a negative might push me over the edge emotionally.. Must be strong.0
