CD22 and according to CountdownToPregnancy, today was the first day I could test. BFN :( Even though I was pretty certain that was what it would be, it's still not nice to only see the one line when a teeny part of you was hoping that you'd beat the odds and get two lines. Might try again in a couple of days when FF reckons it's 6 days till AF, but I'm not hopeful.

DH assures me he's as disappointed as I am, and is referring to it as a "Failed download". This is what happens when you marry a nerd, ladies ;)

On to June's cycle then. I have a feeling about a March baby anyway.

  • Vampiric Addiction, I don't think the weight is going to be an insurmountable obstacle at all. Plenty of non-skinny ladies get pregnant and have no problems - far more important is whether you're ovulating regularly and producing good quality eggs (with good quality sperm to match, of course!)

I know it's not as simple as just losing the weight. I'm seeing a nutritionist to help manage the PCOS and one of her main tenets is to cut out sugar. Easy in theory, damn near impossible in my practical reality  All we can do is try our best, and try not to beat ourselves up when we slip a bit!

Cuilean, that's so early to test! The accuracy rates are pretty low that early, so don't get too despondent yet x

And on marrying nerds . . . My husband wandered into the bedroom yesterday morning and asked if I'd seen his nerf gun. His work has just cleared their old office and the boys wanted to have a nerf battle. All in their late 20s/early 30s, but their 12 year old selves are never far from the surface! :rotfl:

Vampiric, I am overweight too so I know how you feel. However, weight can just affect your cycle length and when you ovulate so it's harder to track.

Cuilean, so sorry :(. I would try again in a few days as it's very early. My temp took a dip this morning, not sure what it means, FF is refusing to give me much information as I've been unable to enter a positive opk.

Vampire addiction I'm certainly no skinny mini yet I had a baby last year. Yes I did spend 2 years losing 12 stone before catching with my little one but I still have lots more weight to lose. It does help and the process does make you more fertile because the fat releases hormones but it doesn't make it impossible.

I've decided that I feel like Schrödinger's cat, I'm currently in the tww so am both pregnant and not pregnant, or at least until I get my bfn which is what I'm expecting this month again. I want to test tomorrow but it's too early and is bound to be bfn which will ruin my birthday

I'm having the most horrific mood swings and bloating. This has turned me into a foul mouthed, hypersensitive mare of a woman. If I can get through the weekend without DH filing for divorce, I will frankly be amazed. I'm kind of hoping that the BFN is accurate now, because if I have to put people through nine months of irrational mouth-of-a-fishwife tendencies, I'm going to have no support network but you ladies by the end of it :rotfl: Please tell me I'm not alone, and these mood swings are normal. This never happened when I was on the pill!

So ladies...I am leaving you now for the other thread. I hope to see ALL of you over there soon.

Thanks you for all your support!
  • Good luck devildolly! *waves farewell*

I am once again getting heartily sick of this ovulation business. Ewcm again on Saturday, watery yesterday - opks negative Saturday and borderline yesterday. So with a bit of luck it should be today or tomorrow ... but the stress of wondering and trying to dtd all the time just in case is really getting to us :( Why couldn't we be one of the lucky ones who just catch without even needing to be aware of all this nonsense! :o
