I hate Dr Google too!
There could be other reasons for increased thirst though. When is AF due? Definitely POAS with FMU for the best accuracy x0 -
Afternoon all,
So after my reasonable but not quite positive opk lines on Monday, they have since returned to faint and practically non-existant. CD18 today so not entirely sure if I've ov'd or not. Wish there was an easier way to tell, like your fingernails go blue or something...
With regards to frequency of.. *that*... I was under the impression that every other day is optimum, due to the fact that doing it too frequently can reduce the quality of the little swimmers. Every other day gives them time to recover, so to speak, so you're getting your man's best men (or women, it is the spermies that determine the baby's gender after all). They can live inside your lady parts for up to five days anyway, so as long as there's a relatively frequent introduction of fresh, errr, 'product', you stand as good a chance as anyone.
I shall now return to facebook where one can talk about s*x and sh*gging and sperm and all that stuff without the risk of being censored...:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
Hello ladies, long time MSE member but new member of a much more important club, TTC!
We've only just started trying (had my coil removed last Tuesday) so it's all very early days but I thought I'd join here incase we have any questions in the coming weeks/months/years!
I'm 28 and hubby is 29 (30 in two weeks). We're both desperate to start a family so fingers crossed we don't have to wait too long.Getting married 02.08.14
Wins for the wedding: membership for a 'wedsite' and app, £35 gift voucher for party supplies shop, £50 worth of hand painted signs, 1kg of heart shaped marshmallows :money:0 -
Welcome insider! I hope your stay is super short :-)
Sunshine - I know, I could be diabetic... THIS IS WHY I HATE DR GOOGLE
4nnabella, your post made me giggle so much :-D
I stopped to get a FR test on the way home (very MSE... NOT) and whilst I was there, careful examining each test to see which would be able to tell me soonest - a girl, who must have been in her teens, rushes in, very scruffily dressed, and ashamedly grabs the cheapest test there is, and sprints off.... pretty sure I know which one of US is going to get the second line :-( :-( sods law ey?
Am gonna try and not test this evening, got other lovely plans for the evening and I'd rather put them first :-)0 -
Evening ladies... wow you've been a chatty lot this last 24 hours.
Thanks dottymrsp, I think I've recovered from last weekend's epic BDing and a mid-week session enough to enjoy it again this weekend!
I did OPK test again today and much fainter than yesterday so now I'm sure my LH surge was yesterday. Ov is meant to be 24-36 hours after the surge so hang in there for Friday evening little one and wish for fast swimmers!
No googling pregnancy symptoms... you could literally search for anything with pregnancy and someone would have mentioned it on a forum somewhere as a definite early sign.
I have to admit that despite trying since August 2014, I haven't once taken a pregnancy test, even the time AF was a week late or the time I had spotting for 4 days before AF. I just wasn't tempted. I think I'd have to get to at least 10 days late and no spotting before I'd remove the cellophane wrapper from the clear blue in the bathroom. Ooo that reminds me. MiL coming at the weekend, best move that, and the folic acid somewhere else!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
Haha, blue fingernails really would be a great indicator 4nnabella!
Dottymrsp - go and pee!
I did -BFN. Due today and still waiting for her to show, expect tomorrow though as I think I'm beginning to feel the inner workings beginning to grumble.

*hugs* for you jobatch. I shall POAS tomorrow morning I think.
I know what you mean about hiding stuff MRN... I take my vitamins with dinner (along with a cocktail of other things... yay for medication) and I always have to make sure I've taken them out of the packet, and they're just loose in my med-cup (read 'shot glass') if we've got guests for dinner. I don't like people to know that we're TTC, in case we don't succeed. Plus, then people ask invasive questions, and that bugs me.
I do tend to ignore forum responses, but the thirst thing was from the NHS website... I kind of trust them.
I have absolutely NO desire to be in work today.... :-(0 -
I know what you mean, Dotty. OH was desperate to tell everyone and anyone. I only wanted my mum and dad to know, as we're really close and I know if things went awry I could count on them for support rather than silly questions or nagging. He was even desperate to tell his brother, who waited for his wife's 12 week scan and then told my OH by email! I've clonked that one on the head for now at least. I'd be mortified if he told them and then we had trouble conceiving, especially when she got a BFP in her first cycle of trying.
I'm really confused with my OPK. It's the clearblue digital with the three step smiley face, so just a circle for low fertility, flashing smiley for high, and a solid smiley for peak (OV). I've had the flashing smiley (high) for four days now! According to the packet, a usual cycle would be two high days and two peak days. I'm terrified I'm not going to OV, but I'm also perplexed why I'd get a consistent high reading?0 -
I was trying to work out if I'd be able to get PG and NOT tell my mam... we're really close, but she'd fuss, and I can't stand fussing. the only person who knows is Mr P's OOH (OTHER other half? Yes, we're unusual) 'cause she might be moving in with us, and needs to be prepared for the potential disruption. But I know she won't say anything to anyone.
Are you sure the Depo's out of your system? It could explain a slightly squiffy cycle?0 -

I'm not sure - I assumed they were as start of this month was the first AF I'd had since stopping them 6-7 months ago.0
