Rampant Recycler I've been Money Tipped!
Wow I go away for a few days and we have loads of newbies!

Welcome to all of you, I hope your stays are short!

Sorry about BFN, dotty. Here's hoping your tests are rubbish and you're actually really really pregnant ;)

    Good luck with IVF, skaps.

Wow pinkshoes, it's the final countdown!

AFM, nothing much. Went to see Queen on Friday which was officially the best thing ever! Had a naughty weekend of food and drink so back on the semi-healthy now. Stupidly took a test yesterdat at 8dpo and of course it was BFN. I'm not even that bothered right now.

Wowza... loads of new starts! Welcome to all, I hope your stay is short.

AF is due today, and I'm feeling thoroughly miserable too... and yet... at the same time (DESPITE getting a BFN) my mind is all 'but what if it IS...'

Seriously, I swear TTC brings out the crazy in me

Ha, I feel crazy too. Last night I had a dream that I had a baby boy, woke up feeling really unhappy it wasn't true!

On the positive, I may have resolution as there's been AF pain and I think she is now on her merry way. Even though; despite ANOTHER bfn this morning, I'm still hoping lol! Anyway, If AF is on her way; that makes the last cycle a bit longer than usual and I can only presume that dates wise - stress must have been the factor in delaying OV or something. I think I might stopped using the OPK's by the time I could have late ovulated too and therefore missed it. I have now invested in the Clearblue dual hormone ovulation predictor kit though and will use every day next cycle to find out if I am actually ovulating. The video on Amazon sold it to me lol!

Some of you may know, I'm the in Forces so my healthcare isnt civilian provided, and given my age, and the fact that I have a medical on Wednesday with my nice Lady doc, I'm going to mention that I'm worried that now I'm TTC and nothing seems to be happening. I very much doubt the Forces are interested in medical issues outside of what which keeps us working and deploying, therefore I figure early chats about this being key. I live in one place, but work all week in another, if I need civilian doctors then I'm going to have to get time off, im going to have to register somewhere, get my old notes found etc. In my job, that can often require a heck of a lot of notice, and more people than I'd like knowing about it.

I guess I'm just getting a little frustrated now also, although I've been busy and not thought too much about it during this month, (and also kinda want it to happen in the next few months rather than now) I'm still always so bloody disappointed and I'm beginning to detect signs of nervousness in OH, I think he's going to start properly worrying soon that there's something wrong with him. Its been 6 months now. He's as keen as I am for this. I feel like I'm disappointing him too, which I think is worse than myself being disappointed.

So - Dotty; I'm with you in the slightly crazy bracket! Fingers crossed we get a flurry of BFP's next month! Valentine's babies!

  • *hugs* Jo, I hope you get it all sorted soon, I would definately talk to your nice Lady Doc in your medical - if anything, she'll be able to advise you if you need to talk to a civilian doctor or not. Also you aren't crazy with the dreaming, I've done that so many times, it's heartbreaking. I know how you feel about disappointing OH... before we got married, he was all going on about how he'd make me all PG and fat with his babies, and now every time I have to tell him that it's not this month I feel terrible for doing so, I can't help but feel like I've let him down :-(

No signs of AF here... apart from ENORMOUS boobs... I know that should be a good thing, but when you're struggling to fit into your 30G bra... :-( ugh. OH did give me a lovely massage before work this morning though :-)

Pinkshoes! New house! And with the way your cycle is looking, maybe christening your new bedroom might be the way to get another extra suprise :-D

Hi ladies, hope all is well.

Just thought I'd recommend an app for my iPhone I got recently called Ovia. Seems brilliant for tracking fertility, period, when you should do pg test etc, and you can log your temps, symptoms etc. It also gives lots of helpful tips about when to bd and other stuff.

However, one thing it says is to feel your cervix?? Has anyone actually done that? Me and OH both attempted it last night (LOL!) and neither of us could feel anything that could possibly be it? The lengths we go to :D

Asking for a friend, I'm not taking it. But... agnus castus - do you just take it until ovulation?

Yes, you're supposed to stop it until you OV. I took it for five days until my opk was showing high. I'm going to take it again if I get a BFN around AF time, or if AF appears.

This made me laugh so much Aileth.... thanks for that one! I guess I know what my ectocervix (the outsidy bit that which is inside your lady parts) but if you have a really deep vagina (this is getting way TMI for me btw) you may not be able to feel it (unless you have really long fingers)... I happen to know I have quite a short/shallow vagina, so, um, yeah... that's how I know...

I feel as someone who is contemplating (read: desperately wanting) motherhood I should be able to talk about anatomy without wanting to giggle like a school girl.... BUT I CAN'T

I always thought mine was fairly shallow as I used to get cystitis all the time and the Doc said that was probably why. I borrowed OH as I have tiny hands so figured some man hands at least would find it. Guess it's !!!!!!ed off somewhere. Then again, I wasn't quite sure what I was looking for! If anyone had a glass to the wall they probably thought we were looking for a lost TV remote or something!
  • *LMAO* Aileth, I have some pretty amusing images right now. I'm trying to describe what it feels like, the best I can do, is if someone got a rubber ring, and deflated it... and then stuck it to the top of your vagina... so there is a hole in the middle, but it's not so easy to find, (unless of course you're about to give birth, in which case it stretches, a lot)

Hmm, guess we'll have to play 'find the cervix' again tonight! :rotfl:
  • I hope that leads to some nookie for your poor OH :-P
