Lulu, I would second ellesbelles - it's not necessarily endo and definitely worth checking out just to put your mind at ease. Google can be a very dangerous tool - unless you have other symptoms, I'd be hopeful that it's not related.
Kellykins, everything crossed for you. Let us know how it goes!0 -
I'm not sure I feel able to take a break at the moment, I'm just really worried about bleeding in an ivory dress
Use a max tampon and sanitary towel and make sure there are spares stashed in the loo/with a bridesmaid. The chances of bleeding on the dress are very slim and even if a bit did escape, most wedding dresses are thick enough it wouldn't show through!0 -
Well when I was in hospital last year with abdominal pains nobody mentioned it but my doctor knows about the bleeding thing (it used to be all of the time, now it's more predictable) and said I had IBS (because he couldn't work out what was wrong). It does make sense as the pain I've been experiencing has come back but when I was in hospital I never experienced this. I'm hoping it's to do with being more constipated at this time of the month.
I'm considering buying Preseed or Conceive Plus - any experiences with these?
Chickp I think you'll be fine on wedding day i.e bleeding through. Stock up on maxi pads, heat pads and feminax and you should be okay.
As for your OH, I think men have a harder time understanding what we put ourselves through. We mentally prepare for it to happen because we know (or hope) that we've done enough to make it happen, so when it doesn't we're gutted.
A friend of mine on Facebook shared a post from her friend earlier and it really made me mad. I couldn't comment on the original because of privacy settings but she would have been getting a piece of my mind! Apparently those people who are trying to conceive have no right to be upset or angry when their friends fall pregnant because "some babies aren't planned" and "it's not [her] fault if [she's] against abortion". It really made me mad. These people will never understand how hard it is to not be able to magically fall pregnant. These are the ones who say "just relax, it'll happen then!" It annoyed me even more that it's perfectly acceptable for her to write a post about how she fell pregnant by accident after a one night stand and people commend her for it but if I were to write a post about the struggles of conceiving I'd probably get told I was overreacting. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Thanks Black Ribboner
OH is in a much better mood tonight so we have had a bit of a talk. I'm feeling a bit less emotional
Mainly worried about the inconvenience of AF on wedding day but don't feel like I can cope with messing up my cycle by delaying it.
I did a LOT of research into endo when I was diagnosed as you can imagine! I'm going to keep an eye on the pain, it really is very minimal at the moment, but I'll go to the doctors if it develops.0 -
think the tablet which stops your period is norethsterone (but not spelt like that) I've still got some from a few years ago when I was having 10 month long periods. Actually I should dump the pack as I bet it's out of date by now0

Morning everyone....massive congratulations Snowball, hope you have a very happy and healthy 9 months :j
Hugs for all CD1s and just anyone else who needs them!
Thanks for doing the lists Kellykins and Lulu
Well after AF teasing me and being two days late  could I please be updated to CD 2? When is it going to be our turn? We're off on holiday today (perfect timing from the witch *rolls eyes*) I made the decision not to take my BBT thermometer with me and I'm not taking my OPKs either so OH and I have decided to wing it this month and just DTD regularly. This is month 17 of TTC #1 and it will be the first month I've not done any monitoring
Feeling a bit scared about the prospect.....I don't like being out of control
Good luck and lots of baby dust to you all? I'm keeping my fingers firmly crossed to see lots of BFPs when I get back0 -
Have a lovely time crocodile
and try to relax without all the monitoring!

CD3, and this one's a kicker. Almost literally - feels like AF is booting me right in the reproductive organs. I'm taking some consolation in the fact that since coming off the pill, AF only seems to last four days. DH suggested I take the dog for a long walk and do some cleaning this morning, but I think I'll get some retail therapy and go shopping for things for the new bathroom instead
When I was having a BFN-related sulk the other day, I realised that I will freely admit I'm not a girly girl, but the one time I actually need my body to do the one girly thing it was designed for, it doesn't play ball.
Lulu, I've had the same symptoms as you. I do get flare ups of IBS though, and stuffing myself full of fibre and fluid seems to remedy it within a couple of days. If you think it's IBS, get yourself some wholemeal foods and knock back water (Not fizzy) until you feel like you're a fountainIf it continues, definitely worth seeing a doctor. BlackRibboner is quite right - Google is a rubbish doctor and should not be trusted! :rotfl:
We've got a tube of Conceive+, but we've not used it. Maybe we should have! Reviews on Amazon seemed very encouraging, as did Preseed. Conceive+ just seemed to have slightly better reviews.
Chickp, the drug you're thinking of is Norethisterone. Here's the page about it on the NHS: http://www.nhs.uk/Medicine-Guides/pages/MedicineOverview.aspx?condition=Delaying%20menstruation&medicine=Norethisterone
I'm going to play Devil's Advocate here - do you really want to mess with your cycle if you're TTC? I was on AF when I got married, and with a little bit of planning, I scheduled myself breaks and found some very unappealing underwear which would have prevented any unwanted appearances.
Happy holiday, Snapping Crocodile - enjoy it!© Cuilean 2005. Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.0 -
CD7 for me.
Sorry I've been a bit quiet lately, my phone for some reason is loading the new forum and it's a nightmare to navigate, so I haven't been looking.
Massive congrats to the BFPs.
Lulu, I would have a word with your Doctor, but like others have said it can be lots of other things. I have all of my fingers and toes crossed for you.
Big hugs to all those with AF.

Hey Lulu - I haven't read every post sorry but I get this exactly near AF. Apparently it's a much less talked about, but very common side effect and some people are just susceptible to it. Bit TMI - but chances are if it's like me it's some very tiny tears in the area due to being a bit constipated.
Lovely i know! But harmlessOfficially Mrs B as of March 2013
TTC since Apr 2015, baby B born March 20170
