Morning all
Decided that the lounge is being attacked today, so spent last night measuring furniture and coming up with a plan of where it's all going to go. Just need other half to get up now so he can help me shift it all lol. While I'm waiting for that to happen (could be a while yet, he's really not a morning person on his days off!!) I'm going to empty everything into the hallway so it can all be decluttered before it goes to its new home.
Hoping to get the room done before picking DS up from school this afternoon - but having seen ho much has come out of the craft cupboard alon, I'm starting to think I may have been slighty over-optimistic about that!
Wish me luck!!Debtfree by Christmas 2015 #127 - £292.78/£2674.03

May I join in:)
I intend/hope to declutter 2015 items, I know that we are nearly half-way through January already! I won't include general kitchen waste, just specific items that can go into the bin.
1-6 t shirts - clothes bank
7 old hand towel - clothes bank
8-10 jumpers - clothes bank
11-12 long sleeved tops - clothes bank
13 tapestry wool - charity shop
14 footless tights - charity shop
15 Xmas cards - recycling
16 bookcrossing paperback - wild release
17-18 puzzle books - recycling
19 various newspapers - recycling
20 plastic container - recycling
21 tin foil trays, containers - recycling
Obviously, I haven't counted some individual items for recycling, but I think a good start nevertheless.....:T0 -

Afternoon all
Had a fairly productive weekend.
Hula hoop and timer were collected by freecyclers and the toiletries have been left on doorstep for collection today. Had a sort through the wardrobe and rehung lots of stuff and put about 6 or 7 items of clothing into the CS bag. I took everything off the top shelf and refolded using the nifty clothes folder thing from QVC. I don't know how it works but it is fab, it makes tops so neat and flat!
Plan for this weekend is magazines, old greetings cards and drop bag off at CS. Am dreading the magazines. I subscribe to Women's Health and previously Zest and have kept them all but I can't just recycle them. I have to go through them all as they have a lot of useful info I'd like to tear out and keep so that will take ages :-(0 -
Just a short list today compared to mammoth list at the weekend.
31. Bag of mixed recyclables - recycling bin
The charity shop box is already filling up again with books, knick knacks etc, and I also dismantled a cheapo pine shelving unit to take to the tip - years old, poorly painted and it had been modified to fit the space which resulted in a wobbly leg. I'd have been embarassed to stick it on Freecycle or similar so the wood will go for recycling."Does it spark joy?" - Marie Kondo

I'm not counting on this thread, just chipping in as and when, but today I went through the ferrets' (big) toy box and chucked about half of the stuff which was chewed beyond redemption.
I have also been through my clothes and socks etc and got half a bag for the charity collection tomorrow. (I don't have that many clothes to begin with!)
I love this thread0 -
I have sorted a pile of papers that can go in confidential waste when I remember to take them back to work.
And while I was in work, I tidied my laptop bag and got rid of some more!
A coat of DS to go in next charity bag.
That's all for today but I keep plugging away and things are improving, as is my mood!Bossymoo
