Room for another Newbie?
I go through fits and starts of decluttering and never seem to get to the end of it. This year I am determined to go through the whole house.
Last night I sorted out the kitchen cupboards and have made a small start to my quest:-
1. Stove top coffee maker
2. Plastic grater
Both of which will be going to the charity shop tomorrow.GC: Feb (16th Jan - 15th Feb) £46.25 / £50
Mar (16th Feb - 15th Mar) £61.96 / £700 -
always room for more superrhinos, welcome to the group.
an out this morning
threw away a lippy container, i'd used as much as i could then scraped the remainder into a little pot i keep for mixed lippy dregs into and using up with a brush (because of the blend the colour can change from day to day depending on where im dabbing from in the pot LOL)
a paperback book is going to school with me today - its a spare copy of the book thief - i love it beyond words but have a couple of copies so am donating one to the book circle, im on a one woman mission to try to get as many people as poss to read it.SPC~12 ot 124

I have been inspired by you all  Thank you!
Car boot now contains 4 bags of clothes and several pairs of shoes for the CS.
Also, a large stack of work journals for recycling - been tripping over them on the landing for a year, or maybe more
All miscellaneous plastic pots of leftovers have been cleared from the fridge (quite a few and definitely not edible eeuw!) contents in compost and pots all washed and stored away.
ETA Ooops sorry for barging into the thread with my enthusiasm! hope you are all okay with my joining in?
A filing cabinet has been purchased and filing is underway. Lots of ancient confidential paperwork has been incinerated and order is being established.
Going to sort out some books now for the CS.
I must emphasise that this is several days work!
I love the title of the thread and hope to make the decluttering a major goal this year.0 -

Well the customs considered my see-through bag too large, so had to transfer to a smaller bag, so had to choose some items to jettison. Annoying thing is I used the same bag at the same airport at the end of November and they were ok with it0 -
Little bit more done today -
50 - Unopened box of plasters c/s
51 - Broken hand blender - binned
52 - 4 Shirts - c/s
53 - 3 x Costume jewellery - c/s
54 - More socks - bin
55 - 3 T. Shirts - bin
Everyone is doing well lets hope it continues and not like most things drops off in a few weeks or so. Imagine all of us having uncluttered and tidy houses :rotfl::rotfl: well we can but dream.MARCH £62.38/2500 -

Our local council takes all small electrical items as long as they're tied up in a carrier bag and put next to the bin. It might be worth phoning your refuse collection department to see if they have a similar scheme? If not perhaps ask if you can put them in your recycling bin, again in a separate carrier bag.
So far today
more shredding - a daily chore thanks to envelopes etc
two plastic boxes filled with car boot items
the almost empty sprays/bottles of cleaning items put to the front of the shelf, same with make-up.0 -

2 pairs of my sons socks in the bin cause they have holes in. It doesn't seem to bother him that theres holes in but it bothers me so they have been chucked. Hes got plenty more (without holes in). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
