May I join in please? We intend to relocate in 18 months so don't want to pay to move stuff we no longer use or need. It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.0

Happy New Year! I'd love to join in too. I'm aiming to declutter at least one item a day for a year. I have too much stuff as I like to buy nice things and then end up just stuffing it in a drawer, hopefully this will put a curb on my spending too.52 Week Challenge £15/£13780

Hi, I'm joining in again.
I've been decluttering on and off since 2009, but I want this year to be the last big de-cluttering year, and intend to de-clutter things that have survived previous culls
I'm aiming for 500 items or batches of items for the year
I've got myself off to a flying start, as I cheated a bit, and did a few bits yesterday, so my figure is currently standing at 12.
We intend to look in our wardrobes this afternoon and get some easy bits into the charity bag, and will be looking in more detail over the next few weeksEarly retired - 18th December 2014

I did very well last year so I want to continue in 2015.:j
1. Today I put a Christmas present bag in the recycling as I was going to keep it but I thought I won't need it.
2. Half the end of a face pack was used up this morning as I went to bed so early yesterday that I didn't get the chance to use it.:o
3. The end of the bubble bath was used up and put into recycling.
I looked through my wardrobe and decided that I will wear everything in it this year. I'm going to put all the hangers the wrong way round and put them the right way only if I wear it. Then I can see what I really don't need to keep.
Here is an explanation if what I wrote didn't make sense.:rotfl:

I'm wearing a pair of black jogging bottoms today that I don't think I have ever worn before. They are very comfortable.:)HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

Ooh I know what you mean about the hangers! Think I'll do that too!
All the CS stuff I collected over the last few days has been bagged up, filled a bin liner and a carrier, and my inlaws have just taken them to go to the hospice sale, so my basket in the garage (that I collect outgrown stuff in) is empty and waiting for more!
Looking forward to minimalism (haha not likely with 4 and 5 yr old in the house!) and now the Christmas tree is down the place is feeling better already!Bossymoo

Can I join please - have tried before but got no where fast. Both myself and DH are prone to keeping stuff- most of it that we don't need or even use- and really need to make some room. There are two of us living in a 3 bedroom house yet we cant move for stuff. I am surprised the loft has never given way.
Will aim for a minimum of 365 items this year but hope to better this.
Due to ill health we are unable to do huge amounts at a time so its one small step at a time.
Have done a small amount this morning and thrown out, put for charity shop or given to people 14 items so far ! This included holey socks, 3 T.shirts, very out of date tanning lotion, 2 empty air fresheners, old birthday cards and a broken Christmas ornament. 14/365MARCH £62.38/2500
