During the week I dropped off 1 bag with clothes at the charity shop.

Also, 1 schampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 body lotion - all travel sizes have been used up.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23

Got loads done the past few days. I started off fairly slowly but seem to be on a bit of a roll now. I feel like I really have started a proper clear up this time. I'm going by the 'do I love it', 'have I worn it in the past 6 months', etc and it seems to be working for me.

So too much to list but I have at least two bags for charity and 5  for the recycling centre. I have been holding onto far too much and the room is only half done. If I can get this one room clear of clutter I'm hoping it will show me that I can get the rest of the house done and not feel overwhelmed. I don't know why I've not been able to properly part with things before but starting off doing wee bits has given me the confidence to get much more done. It certainly makes me feel better:j

Not everyone is, but some find it motivating. Because sometimes you look at your house and think 'ARGGGHHHH it doesnt look any better yet' and then you can look at your total and see how much you've turfed out and know that the amount of stuff really is going down. Because if you've got a target then it helps you be a bit more ruthless in order to reach it.

All these reasons and more. Whatever helps.

    * I took a filing box to the charity shop today and it has made the bedroom look so much better.
    * After I finished hoovering today I replaced the old hoover bag which is now in the bin.
    * A bar of soap has also been used up.
    * OH has filled up the shredder this week while sorting through his paperwork.

Just had a kitchen cupboard all out and on the table.
Few items went in the car boot pile and I containerised some smaller bits together. like baking pans and cake candles/numbers.

Did a bit of tactical decluttering today. DD2s dining table was in a poor state and mil had a drop leaf table stuffed in the back of her wardrobe. Mil wanted rid of her table so I got it gave it a good scrub and polish, took it round DDs today and her partners mum said she would happily take the broken table for their new wood burner. So no one has had adds clutter. DD wants me to look for a couple of fold up chairs for her now as without the big table the kitchen seems huge it's just the chairs that seem in the way as they don't go under the table any more.
Also decluttered the big teddy and blanket I'd I Knitted her as their new baby arrived this week so pressies could be taken
