No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in January 2015

Regarding my stash, I am starting a fresh this year and not counting any of my Christmas pressies as IN's and instead starting a new 2015 list. Naughty maybe, but I didn't buy any of the items myself so hate the idea of adding so many IN's! My stash is now at 58, which isn't so bad seeing as when I started last year it was at 92 (keep in mind I don't count make up or nail polish).

Hi all - a few UUs for me:

Boots Skin Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion 200ml: WMBA - wasn't amazing but wasn't awful either. Has a nice fresh scent but the medicinal-looking bottle might put some people off.

Impulse Be Surprised Body Spray 75ml: WDBA - my favourite Impulse scent!

The Body Shop White Musk Eau De Toilette 10ml: The was the final product in my TBS advent calender and I have to say I absolutely hate it. Not for me and I'm glad it's gone!

Going to have a few INs next weeks as I have to buy a moisturiser and some face wash, lets hope I don;t get carried away! Doesn't help that I've just received points boosters and vouchers...

Hello I used to be in this challenge last year, and fell off the wagon. Hoping to join again if that's ok. I did well for a few months and then it went very wrong, I remember one month I spent half my wage on toiletries. I felt dreadful but I didn't know why I couldn't stop. Things got a lot better in the later months, and I did spend a fair amount in December, but nothing compared to what I used to spend. I told friends and family not to buy me anything toiletries related for Christmas, and bar some perfume, soap and hand cream I had no Christmas ins. I'm going to write a toiletries and make up inventory but it will take a while. I'm determined to get my spending under control this year (2014 was not a good year for spending in general:( )

I've cancelled my birchbox subscription, and had accumulated some points so spent them.

1 in - the balm rockstar palette. I had to pay £14 for the excess but had nothing else I was wanting to buy.

I wonder if you were too strict with yourself to start with and cold turkey wasn't for you? Hence the binge.
If you will really use something, enjoy using it and it's better than what you already have, it isn't unnecessary. (I would recommend gifting unloved stuff, or stuff you know you won't use before it goes off, though. Decluttering is good. A pal on low wages gets what she wants of mine.)
I can't preach about buying stuff that's not normally needed, well, not in all areas.
I promised myself I wouldn't buy the amount of food goodies I normally buy for Christmas... and I didn't, mostly! But the table was still full, and there's still stuff left over. I took about £25s worth of unopened stuff to a New Year Party where I knew there would be buffet food on and it was very welcome. This December I will definitely buy less cheese... Cheddar with whisky anyone..? Bit of Christmas cake with it??

Total 595, last years was 567. I did stock up on lush as I do every year in the boxing day sales but I do buy to last me the year with the occasional products throughout the year, I have not ordered anything since the New Year I will have 1 parcel but this replace an order that from the sales, and I have no idea what it will contain. I know it looks bad but for me I have put on samples which I don't tend to do and there are over 50 1 use face masks and I do get through things fairly quickly compared to most.

Hi ladies back in again this year.

Lots of INs from Christmas which is good because I'm skint and I was starting to run low on everything!
Highlights include gift set from lush, soap and glory gift set, Urban decay Naked 3 AND naked on the run palettes :O ! So pleased and fair to say my eyeshadow looks have been fabbity fab recently
