Ok so I've had a little bit of a pleasant surprise tonight, the meeting went well, very well actually and low and behold the contract is mine, pretty much until I say I want it to stop. So to err on the side of caution and not to overload myself I've suggested we review it in the summer, end of July, should all be well then I'll continue, they agreed readily. :)
So that is a regular wage weekly till then.
I'm out for lunch with the girls tomorrow, not on a time scale so will have more time for a lovely chat, last time was a bit rushed, then I'm working all over the weekend and DD has a lesson booked locally, so I'll have to manage to take the bigger one over to the school in time, hopefully DH will come as well.
Rugs off again today so 5 very happy horses. Sunny here again all day and wow did my washing dry quickly. I'm even washing our winter coats now, phew they stunk especially my yard coat (shameful). Now they smell beautifully, well for 5 minutes lol :)
I'm hoping to have paid something off the overdraft by the 1st April, I don't think it will be much at all though, maybe £50 if I'm lucky, but I did have to add the Rayburn bill to it, so at least it shouldn't be too much worse. I will also have about £460 or so to carry forward for payment in April and I'm owed another £114, so maybe by 1st May figures might start to look a bit better :)
I'm going to sit down, Monday or Tuesday and do the boys business accounts and also do a debt free date, thank you debtfree for prompting me.
I'm enjoying monitoring our finances and I'm so much tighter than I used to be, I keep noticing the brakes come on and I say no!!!
I do need to clear these as fast as I can and then I can carry out a few necessary jobs around the place.
DH is well into my good books today! He planted the veg garden, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, tayberries, gojiberries, black currants, gooseberries and rhubarb! Mint is ready but it grew so much last year I want to isolate it a little in a container. Beds are also nearly ready for runner beans, should have around 7 rows of them, and a large plot for potatos. We are going to do onions and carrots as well. I'm going to have a look at some catalogues and see what else I can do. Bought some lavender seeds last weekend so I need to plant them up inside on the kitchen windowsill and hopefully they will be strong enough later in the year to plant out and smell lovely.
    Have a lovely evening x

Congratulations on the contract. How fabulous.

Lol, made me laugh at yard coat comment, mine has to be in a cupboard of it's own so it doesn't "infect" the others :)

Busy day today work wise. Never mind pennies make pounds :)
Lesson today but as usual not so good as at home, he just doesn't move as well, we've decided it's the surface so won't be taking him to that particular school again. We're going to ask the trainer to call in at ours on her route next time, she might say yes never know! At least she gets the lesson and we get the training :/ it's literally a mile out of her way.
Tomorrow I have a day at home, will muck out in the morning, I owe DH and my mum so many days off its unbelievable! DH actually mucked out on his own today, I feel so guilty not doing it so much at the moment, but I am working :/. Anyway tomorrow I'll put it right and pull my weight! (That'll be heavy then lol!)
More hay coming on Monday, not sure how many bales but more than last time. The horses love it!
Beautiful weather still here, not sure how much longer it will last but it's fab whilst we have it.
Put diesel in the lorry today after the lesson, I'd run it very low as DH had put a treatment in the tank and he wanted it all to run through. £89.77, not bad at all! I've done it before and it's cost £120 so diesel being cheaper at the moment really made a difference :)
So tomorrow I'm going to do some washing, have a clean up and maybe make a cake. I've definitely got to sleep better tonight and relax a bit more tomorrow as I'll be back working on Monday.
    See you soon x

Oh weekend over, cant say im not pleased, stressful time of it.
Anyway, horse feed bought tonight, also bought a new towing thingy which fits on a ball hitch on the quad for the spreader, and left it on the counter, so tomorrow back over the farm shop and pick it up.
Drizzle here most of day and then brighter later on. DD rode the bigger one and although I didn't see it as I was out apparently he didn't put a foot wrong, she was so pleased, I was relieved, phew. No kicking out and well balance, thank goodness!
Younger one lunged, still bright as a button, roll on dry fields and turned out ponies.
Im off to bed early tonight I slept like a log last night and woke up to the alarm, headache set in lunchtime so painkillers taken to get me through the day, I know its due to my diet and being over tired.
Meeting at 8.30 tomorrow morning, not looking forward to that! Will have to get up early and wash the horsie smell from my hair :)
DH cooked tea tonight so I could enjoy the rest of the evening with DD down the yard, totally enjoyed myself.
Hayman couldn't come today but is hoping to be here by Wednesday, at least we can last till then.

Lovely day today, went to get my new glasses, feels different, and then a walk along the beach and back over the cliffs. Really lovely DH and I spent quality time together just talking. Set us both up for the rest of the day.
Have more worked booked this weekend, should be around the £180 I hope plus my regular contract.
Can't decide whether to do a home delivery shop via tesco or asda or whether to do my usual, Aldi and far foods with a bit of home bargains added in. It is easier to do the home delivery, but I do like a bargain and I just can't sit there and order food which I know is cheaper elsewhere. Time wise I am struggling to fit it all in. Maybe one big shop beginning of the month, following my menu planner and just one small top up each week for milk?? I don't know!
I did get quite a bit of the accounts sorted today, still lots to do though.
Horses rugs on today as a bit cooler, all doing ok, bigger one looked great tonight whilst I watched :)
Hay came today and is good quality again so very pleased with that, £28 a big round bale...not bad!
My survey man called back and he actually paid me £20 in love to shop vouchers, chuffed with that!
Need to make sure everything is ready for the show on Friday, so tomorrow's extra jobs consist of pack lorry, clean saddle and bridle, make lunch and check everything is on board. 2 hours 15 or thereabouts and well be there! Last time I had a blow out on the lorry on the way home, I'm begging that doesn't happen again, horrible!

Wow - what a busy time you have been having!!! Great news on the contract and sounds like you are getting sorted with everything else! Horses sound fab and it won't be long until they can be out hopefully! good luck with the show sounds like lots of work!

Shopping is always a challenge - it is cheaper to shop around but so time consuming so not always easy - I tend to do one asda shop a month for the things I cant get in aldi then aldi for top ups - I'm sure I could do it cheaper but time is so limited!

I have tried many variations with the shopping and always found I couldn't beat the price of shopping at Aldi and at the moment, the money going out is the priority for me. I have said though, when we're debt free I'd like to get it delivered as it's so much easier time wise but it always worked out more expensive, which is why I swapped back to Aldi. I guess it's about priorities, if the time thing is affecting you then your health and sanity is more important than the difference in cost. Obviously you'd be doing it to budget anyway so it's not like you wouldn't be aware of what you're spending. Either way good luck :)

Also I hope everything runs smoothly for the show. Blow outs would be very scary. Take care.

A funny day today. One peice of work cancelled this weekend, not that upset I probably need a rest. Another halved :/. But a bigger job end of next week, bigger than the bits I've lost this weekend so not all bad :)

Took two and three quarter hours to get home from the show today, shattered isn't the word! Anyway he was a good boy, not as powerful and full of presence as he can be but well behaved and the work DD has been doing with him has paid off....Red Rossie! Yay! So one chuffed DD and one very happy DH. Now to work the younger one through her issues and get her out and about as well. DD working all day tomorrow so if time bigger one will be lunged tomorrow just to loosen him off and keep him moving, chuffed!!! :)

Curry for tea tonight made yesterday in the slow cooker, being organised is definitely the key to it all.

Mum and DH did the yard for us today again so we didn't have to do anything but "play" and feed tonight, and drive 110 miles there and another 110 miles back, well worth it :)

I'm going now because all I can think of to write is "did I mention she won???" So enough from me lol :)
