Well done Welshkitty on your loan. Live in Wales too has its advantages sometimes.
Quick check in from me spendy day 5 pounds hair dye and 20 pounds petrol. Even got wolf whistled at with roots showing - could have put the hair dye off longer lol.
Off to do school run, just when I thought that part of my life was in the past. Grandson worth it. Tea already cooked ham again, roasties and roast veggies just need heating up, cooked extra last night.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Ahoy gang!
Just thought I'd pop in to wish you all a belated happy new year!
Ive been lost at sea since falling overboard in November while SOA was at the helm! I kind of derailed and what with christmas things went tats up and SFDs went out the window
Ive been keeping a beady eye on you allSOA, Fmess and LoveaDove you have done a great job leading the threads :T
I have been practicing mse principles but my mind has been elsewhere focussing on looking at career path options and alternative living.. I have been increasingly resentful of paying rent and am seriously considering using my savings which matures at the end of the month (same savings as you lilt) to 'full time' in a campervan for maybe a year or so to save some money, so there is a lot to think about..
Traveller Im sorry to hear the sad news about puss, I feel sad for you:(:(
Calling Great to hear you can get your choppers done cheaper :j
Ill see where my heads at next month and may join you then

Was home today with the wee man. House looks almost normal again after putting Xmas stuff away and other cleaning and tidying. Also started to declutter at least one thing as soon as I see it. Today it was papers and letters shoved behind the radio in the kitchen. Made more soup with veg that had to go and three loads of washing in the last sun for days to come.
Spend day though. Took DS to the zoo and an ice cream. Needed bread and bleach.
Lilt I only smoked rollies at the end of last year as I realised that they make less want another one and I was down to three a day. More on weekends or when drinking. So money isn't really an incentive anymore as it wasn't even a tenner a month. I just don't want to be a slave to the habit anymore no matter how much I enjoyed it in certain situations. Was busy all day with OH's tabacco sitting there, not temptedDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

I should be able to pay off another £10 soon via swapping nectar points for food. And I have £29 in Top Cash back funds waiting to turn to available.
I also looked into selling our oldest laptop to music magpie and it looks as though we'd get £48 for it. So I'm Optimistic of finding almost another £90 in side hustles for debt payment.
Bobarella- absolutely love the term 'side hustle.' Great work on some extra money making! :T Ooo you have reminded me that I have also got quite a lot of nectar points to use up! Yay!:coffee:

Happy days.
Managed to register with a NHS dentist seeing me in 2 weeks so instead of trying to find 660 for 2 crowns this month it will be 180 in total. Jumping with Joy.
Today another NSD. Need some petrol tomorrow won't make it till Thursday as have to collect grandson next few days.
Feeling smug, boss not in work this morning and I rang him, he hadn't set his alarm - great start for Monday, gave me an extra hr to play with my much missed spreadsheets lol.
So please about my teeth unreal.
Calling- That is a HUGE saving! Will you be ok to wait the 2 weeks or would private take as long? Funny about your boss! Teehee!:coffee:

Another SFD. Decorations down shortly after midnight. Really wanted to tell you to go to bed LoveaDove as your messages kept pinging in.
Frustrating day mostly. Trying to spend more time downstairs but DS3 was asleep in the front room so couldn't pack away the decorations, too cold to do anything about the ivy (think I have done all the bits I can reach and DS3 refuses to have anything to do with it) and after eating bacon soup followed closely by 2 toast with a scrape of jam, retreated back up to the warmth as I was eating to keep warm (no radiator in kitchen).
Spent hours with energy paperwork, checking and writing down figures, dates, times I had complained - all on-line so trawling up and down my own e-mails to find information until I went cross-eyed. Will start to ask about various sums of money tomorrow (still need to check a few things) and will start the comparison - may not switch yet as some money owed may disappear if I switch (have to check a March notification to confirm).
Slightly dizzy so wasn't going to go for my walk but have just been, 25 minutes, stopped several times and very hard going but I've done it. Decs are packed away, sewing going well (changed bit I was working on).
Today I am grateful for the Civic Square (nice place to rest), the birds (tiny wagtail pecking around in the back) and hm soup (helped my icicle fingers defrost). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
