    Hi All,

Meal plan has been produced and agreed with OH up to Wednesday next week and the only thing we may need to buy is some more milk. I have meal plans in my head for at least 2 more weeks, using up stocks in the freezer and cupboards, but OH can only plan so far in advance, so I will agree them with him early next week. The games we need to play to keep our OH's on board :rotfl:

I really can't complain about him as he is very supportive and if I complain about losing a SFD for something like milk he offers to pay for it so I don't have to BUT I don't allow that as to me it's cheating and worse still it's only cheating myself. See what you guys have done to me

Super team work with you and OH! :T:T

My OH Occasionally joins in with SFD's but also offers to pay for something to save me one, I also decline as I also feel like I am cheating! :rotfl:

    Well it's been a funny day, but a no spend day !! That's 2 already !
Decided to try and keep cost down with food shopping at different shops, going to do a three week shop at supermarket for basics, use local butcher who always gives me a discount and local fruit and veg . Thursday's will be my first shopping day, so I will let you know how it goes .
I'm really excited about this challenge.

Yay! You are doing so well, glad you are getting into the challenge! :T

Declaring a SFD today. Had a small purchase from boots but it was medication for DH. It was also paid for out of £10 family gave us when we were late leaving their house one night. They told us to use it to get food on the way home, but DD was feeling sick in the car so we went straight home and cooked a light meal from stores. So, not counting it as a spend and am going to put the £7 odd change into my savings.

Stuck to meal plan again tonight. Used more leftover Turkey in a curry. Also put a portion in freezer for lunch one day next week...

WelshKitty- Spends on medication and prescriptions are spend exemptions as they are essential health purchases- so if you do purchase meds/ prescriptions they will not count as a spend. Well done for using the extra cash though! Your Meal planning sounds like it is going well! :)

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All
I did a shop today that covers all main meals till next week. So that puts me firmly on budget. I will definately be having a NSD tommorow. And I only have 2 travel days this week so if I top up my oyster on thursday then Friday should be a NSD too.

Hope everyone's well. Just had an insane amount of rain in about 30 mins here so glad we did the shopping before that!

Thanks. Yes, I thought that was the case with medication. We shouldn't have many expenses in this category as we get free prescriptions here in Wales, but in this case it was easier just to pop to the chemist than attempt to make a doctors appointment.

Meal planning is going well, as is taking lunch to work/uni every day AND I haven't had any bacon baps so far!

I have also made progress on my debt repayments as I have fully repaid my loan!! :j

Have also upped my direct debit to the credit card so this should be paid off before the 0% ends in September.
