Trolls cannot keep up the facade for too long their simple minds have a habit of peaking early.... this one beat most of them to the winners podium on its first post.

Reminds of the old Skoll Skoll skoll skoll advert.

As soon as their is a different point of view, troll troll troll. I recommend you grow up but I don't take offence. There are a lot of paranoid people out there.

I had a terrific one on the way into work tonight. There is a long hill, about a mile dead straight, with three lanes (two up, one down). It's a great chance to get past several lorries or vans without a risky overtake. So I am following a small car doing about 55 (NSL road). I'm not crowding him, staying well back, waiting for the middle lane to open up so I can go past. So when the middle lane opens, he moves directly into it, and for the next mile he sits there, moving back to the left lane when the lanes converged at the top.

I moved out behind him with my indicator going, but there was no way he was going to move, so I gave up and moved back to the left. Bad driving conditions, so I didn't want to get into any confrontation over it.

DRFM was posting at the time this happened, so it must have been his evil twin.

Anyway, you shouldn't really have answered this thread. This was MY thread as I opened it and I should be the one to close it due to being picked on.

    This is a public forum.

This as much YOUR thread as it is MY thread.

Don't like it ? Go and make a private forum that is your own.

In any case, if this thread is closed as far as you're concerned, why do you keep coming back and posting more inane stuff ?

Like having the last word every time ?

I haven't broadcast the fact that I have another car. The way I see it, when we get to a certain age as well, things stop being means tested such as my bus pass, heating allowance, prescriptions etc. These things I am entitled to but if they were all means tested, then I would lose them.
I can have more than one car if I can afford it.

Only, there's a considerable difference between:

Accepting free bus passes, prescriptions and so on because you're entitled

    and:

Paying for a motability car when you have another one anyway.

Of course you can but why on earth would you want to, especially seeing as your other freebies suggest you're over pension age? Same sort of money could be buying a second car you'd actually own rather than having to hand back in 3 years.

Come on Joe - the guy's disabled - chronic verbal diarrhoea I suspect - he's got a blue badge to flash - why don't we all back off and stop bullying him?

I'm not picking on him. I'm genuinely interested in the moneysaving theory behind paying out for an extra car that you don't need when most pensioners are wondering how they're going to pay the heating bill. :)
  • I have a car that I like to pop to places in and I like a more luxurious car for other times.

I just like two cars and why not. It is a good thing that I don't own it because I hand it back every few years and update with new.
