overtaking

Ideally a more powerful car is better suited and safer to overtake in. In my current car, the 1.4 litre Golf, I have to anticipate and judge a little more when entering roundabouts etc. Sometimes if I'm not in the right gear it can get dangerous. My old Merc was much better in that regard0

Should you really be driving? You sound a little challenged.0 -

Somebody doesn't know that two idiots don't make a good driver0 -

I pass them on the left if safe to do so.
It is not illegal to pass on the left. The offence is careless driving.
I'll keep doing it and take my chances in court if it ever comes to that.0 -

If a car traveling at 60mph in the first lane of a motorway comes up to a car in the middle lane going slower can you pass this car in the slow lane. to save switching lanes.
When towing a trailer I'm limited to 60 on motorways, and not allowed to use lane 3.
But the middle lane seems full of idiots driving at about 55 (probably showing 60 on their speedo) who refuse to move over. And they never seem to look in their mirrors.
Was really pleased to see one of them pulled over by the police recently.0 -

You can overtake on the left if your already in that lane, what your not allowed to do is to switch into the left lane to do so.
The highway code is not the law, it's merely a good practice guide, the "Road Traffic Act" is the law.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
