Hello all
If a car traveling at 60mph in the first lane of a motorway comes up to a car in the middle lane going slower can you pass this car in the slow lane. to save switching lanes.

A lorry shouldnt be going over 58mph (in an ideal world)

    Each lane change I believe.
I always go up the inside, in the correct lane doing the correct speed.
Bet if someone gets pulled it's me and not middle lane muppet.
I view it as rule 268 - no speed mentioned at which it becomes unacceptable, and saves 4 lane changes.

I am following the speed of the lane on the left - this may be more than the speed of the middle lane moron.

I can't be !!!!ing bothered to go right and then back again because a brain damaged !!!!wit it occupying the middle lane.

I will pass on the left if safe to do so. If not, I will move over.

Downhill - speed limit is 60 afterall :)
But meant more for when cars are doing less than 56.

Correct, there is a difference between passing and overtaking.
