STS for me this week Shala. Thank you very much for the chart
I had hoped to get at least another -0.5lb this week as that would be my first shiney at group (I'd already lost around a stone & a half before I rejoined group at the very end of December). I was quite optimistic about actually reaching my challenge target this time, I've only 1.5lb to go to get the 8lb I was aiming for in the 8 weeks. Sure there's still 2 weeks to do it in so if i get my @rse in gear it should be ok!

Have had way too many syns today as a kind of sod it day (had an on plan breakfast, lunch and dinner but it's the inbetween things that have been too much). Back on the wagon 100% tomorrow. I am gonna try to get out walking a bit either at lunch break or for half an hour before I head home from work cos I normally stay a bit later to miss the worst of the traffic so might just spend that half an hour having a walk. Will also have to shake up my meals as they have gotten a bit samey the last few weeks.

Oh I've just noticed the running total of losses so far on the challenge - flippin heck, just over 16 stone

I'm not gonna join the FB page yet but might do at some point :)

    b_e_g Congrats on the 6st shiney :j I'm sure you're delighted!
Lois & Meg- congrats on being SOTW :j
Congrats to everyone else who has had a loss & keep at it to folk like me who haven't managed a - this week :D

OK, just to clear all this up and not cause any more issues:

I set up the group in May last year as a secret group so that only members from this thread would be able to join as you'd need to be invited using an email address. There was some interest but not masses and those I saw/heard from I invited to the group. As with many things life can get in the way and I haven't always been on here or the group (though anyone could invite members and no posts needed approving etc) and when I have perhaps I should have mentioned it more regularly. Sorry for my short falls there. I am quite hurt by the fact that comments have been made almost suggesting it has been quite exclusive/we have excluded other members of the thread. Sorry if I am being oversensitive there but that was never the intention at all.

I have now changed the group setting to 'closed' this means anyone can find it and request to join. I feel this may lead to some non-forumites looking to join too as they may think it is just another general SW group however in the interest of ease this is what I have done. If others think similarly and feel it would be better kept as a 'secret' group let me know and we can update it again. I've also put a post out today asking if anyone else would like to be an admin.

Shala please could we get the following/something along the same lines on the front of the thread:

"we have a Facebook group open to anyone joining us on this thread; to join please mention it in your post and an existing member can send you an invite. Alternatively you can find it on Facebook by searching "MSE Slimming World Support" "

Obviously if members vote to change it back to 'secret' then the only way to join would be to send your email address over to someone who is already a member for them to invite you.

I am happy to be an admin.
I would prefer it remained secret but that is just my thought & I am happy to go with the majority.
Thank you for your hard work in setting it up.
Remember everyone we are all on the same journey & all just trying our best and we are all just human.

I've decided I'm going into lurking mode as I seem to cause problems whenever I post and this is the safest way to avoid it.

Off to look after my family.

don't you dare lurk you haven't caused any problems at all and I am extremely grateful for your sorting thing out for me with the email.

It seems some people missed the original post by Lush and I think the reason its not been mentioned is that there were only a few people on it and it was not very active. when I just joined its saying 10 new members.

I think we should all forget this now and just enjoy our lovely thread.

When does this reset? I would like to join in next round please!

Had a very naughty weekend food wise but going to be better rest of the week!

Tried a SW recipe from the extra easy cookbook. Beef ragu and pasta (except I used pork mince). Turned out ok, but a bit watery. I did change it a bit too.

I also had some napolina grated cheese on top and no idea what the syns are (not on slimming world calculator). I've only had 2 syns today and it was probably only a tbsp so I'm sure that's ok.

    The
For breakfast I had egg bites (bacon, mushroom, tomato, spinach and egg baked in oven).

Lunch I always have a pretty simialr thing every work day - bernard matthews tuerkey on brown bread (HEB) with some flora pro activ light (I'm calling it approx 2 syns for what I use), a muller light, pear and orange.

HEA is always milk for my tea :)

The next one will start 1st week in March and you will be very welcome to join :) Shala will post when its time to remind us ;)
