I've bought a few bits today towards next year. A local garden centre has reduced all of their personalised items by 50% - yoyos, sports beakers, Christmas CDs for children, Christmas ornaments, placemats, money boxes and a few other things. Some 'personalisation' is along the lines of 'sister', 'mum', 'teacher', rather than actual names.
I bought a CD, sports beaker and placemat. They'll do nicely for next year. I thought that others might be interested either for Christmas presents for 2015, ort for birthday presents for children during the year.0 -
Having read through the thread I applaud everyone for their hard work in having an enjoyable christmas for the best possible price. I must start remembering my card every time I shop at Tescos, lots of people seem to have used the points towards gifts.

MSE Andrea, where did you upload a photo...?
Me and you both. I've been informed by someone on here that they read on Twitter that only posts with a photo on here or twitter would be given a badge, and only bargains bought AFTER christmas. Which is not how I read the first post in the thread.
Don't think that's fair on those of us who don't take photos of everything we buy, don't know how to post photos or just plain don't want to post photos.
No is not fair on those who don't have Twitter either - like myself. It's sad that even on this site if you "don't keep up with the Jones' " so to speak and like to do things in the old time way then you're not acknowledged
Either way I'm happy with my bargains. I managed to give 31 children a small gift each, provide at the most another 100 or so children and siblings in the hospice with a small gift for Christmas and also with the help of a kind poster of a deal on this forum provide 11 sleeping bags to the homeless.
All the other people on here who haven't been awarded with a badge also. Whether you got your bargains before or after Christmas, I want to say I huge WELL DONE to you on your savings. I wish you all the best with your purchases and savings, and here's to many more in 2015:TPay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
I also think it's unfair that only some are getting the badge there are some great posts on here and wished I'd found some of the things that others have.
there are loads that deserve the badge including IrishRose which I think is amazing for what she done. I really can't see why someone is being really picky.
I got my badge last year and we didn't have to post pictures then.
well today I went shopping and started things off for next Christmas as I brought a large pack of luxury crackers at half price £4.99 and large rolls of wrapping paper reduced to 99p in Aldi's .have now given up smoking since feb 13th 2014 loving the money I'm saving0 -
I bought my bargains before Christmas and don't know how to post photos, although I did post links where possible to show what I bought. I don't have Twitter. I still received a badge though.0

Have just done exactly what you did Kingfisher and added photos to my post so let's see if I can get a badge too now.0

I started my Christmas shopping early 2014 as I do every year, using points from B@@ts glitches I buy the smellies sets when they are 50 or 70% off. I've just done the same for Christmas 2015. One of the best bargains I got this year has to be my sofa, since moving into our house in 2011 we have stuck to our plan of not wanting anything on credit, our sofa is a leather recliner with chair and we got it for £100, it's second hand but only about a year old. We love it.
Our tv was another bargain, my best friend decided she wanted a bigger tv (having saved some money with a little help from me telling her she could redeem her nectar points against it) she sold me her 32" TV for £30happy hubby for sure.
Our splurge of the year which was desperately needed was a new oven and hob for Christmas (ours wouldn't have cooked the turkey!!) we got it from a@.com and I went through quidco. Money back on already reduced items, £20 back from the retailer and a new hob and oven for what ended up been £250!! Very happy.
Here's to more bargains for 2015!! Happy new year everyone!!!SPC6 #116 £652.75
SPC7 #116 £674.50
SPC8 #116 £10100 -
