https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5098150 Thanks to MaineBlue, I was able to give as xmas gifts that cost me nothing.
    Thanks MSE
  • My top christmas saving this year was a casserole dish from Debenhams (don't ask, I did enquire whether one from tescos would not do the same thing!!!) £39.99, reduced to £25.99 in the pre christmas sales, went to the counter and received a discount to £18.99 as it had a tiny tiny chip and then paid on a debenhams gift voucher I'd received and never used. So actually free and the recipient was very happy with it!
Proud to be debt free September 2014. :j

    I've been Money Tipped!
My best buy of 2014 had to be the Phil and Teds twin pram I found outside a charity shop.... Left out for the bin due to damage! Nice lady in the shop said she couldn't sell it to me, but if I wanted to make a £5 donation I could wheel it away! Brought it home, pressure washed the seats and grandma stitched up the ripped back seat. Used it all year for my 2 & 3 year old, best pram ever! And saved from landfill :)

  • can't post pictures of this. I have a prepay visa card from my union that gives me 3% cashback at Asda. I used it to shop, and top up my christmas savings the day before the extra credit. So not only do I get the credit on my savings, but I also get 3% back on putting it on the card.

My best buy- for a friend - was a huge hard backed Suduko book from "The Works" priced @ £20 for £1.25 which was wrapped in a brand new looking black velvet hoodie from a charity shop @ £1!
The recipient was well pleased with her goodies.
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
