    Happy new year flylady friends.

Still in bed. We took the 2 youngest down the road to a friends and were home by 12.30. I suspect DH will have a sore head but he is joining me this year in d r y J a n u a r y.

DH's ear operation was postponed yesterday it has been
Pushed back to 6th Feb. It's a bit too close to half term but he seems to accept the new date.

I'm delighted to report that my ironing basket was empty last night. I didn't know about the challenge but completed it anyway!

I've got a couple of washes to put through and I want to get the PE bags reassembled. The kitchen/dining room/hall floor needs to see the mop. All decorations are down except the tree and that's another job for today.

My SIL over the road is opening her house today and I've got to take a cake. Better get up and turn the oven on!

I hope everyone has a lovely day.

Narco- I'm glad to hear hubby made t home for new year and I wish him a speedy recovery.

    Happy new year everyone!

Last night, was a family party so didn't return until the early hours, which meant whole family slept in until 9 (unheard of!)

So I have two hours to clean up my pit of a house, shower and get the kids ready! So I had better get off here and get in with it!

    Kitchen first I think...

    Declutter
    Wipe table

    Hoover

And then prepare lunch for 9!!!

    I'm off!!
    Have a good day all!

Welcome to 2015 and another year of formation flying, everyone  I don't think we expect to carry out such complicated manoeuvres as the Red Arrows, but we have all gained our wings and certainly emulate their closeness as a team :)

I didn't even manage to stay awake until midnight and crashed into bed at 11 pm. Relieved that our new NDN's (in the house that was empty since before we moved here) did not have any fireworks to wake me up again.

Yes please, Froddy, organise a FlyMeet and I'll do my best to come along.

I am starting 2015 with an empty ironing basket, clean and (apart from the study-bedroom) tidy house, and lots to look forward to - not least DGC6's arrival in March.

    Today's list:
    - shower
    - dailies - mostly done
    - prep lunch and evening meal - mostly done
    - put away unused crackers
    - finish typing up my new SW food checklist to put on one of the kitchen cupboard doors (feel free to PM me with your email if you would like a copy)
    - download photos from the family weekend and print out the best one of our DGC
    - find places to hang the two rather large calendars that we were given
    - pay my 70p HMRC bill
    - update diaries with DH
    - New Year's Day Strauss concert in the big city this afternoon :)
    - fish feast this evening :)

Hope everyone has a good start to the year x

Me again....I have started to prep dinner, washed up the breakfast dishes, got back in the gym (after nearly a month due to being ill) and have had a lovely long soak. Washing is off airers and put away, there is now 1 item in the ironing basket. Oh and I quickly hoovered downstairs. Just having a cuppa again before walking the dogs and doing more dinner prep.

    Catch you all later.
Spend less now, work less later.

Happy New Year to all you lovely ladies.

I have been lurking again the last couple of weeks and am constantly amazed by what has becime such a wonderful community and it is one I want to come back to, and need to come back to. There have been some lovely posts in the last couple of weeks, too many to list and when I received my flylady bundle of cards with the lovely messages I realised I need to come home. I have said it before Iknow and then not made it but I am going to try. So an update on where I am at.

DH has now been retired for coming up to 2 years so is at home all day every day and does his best but the house isnt the same, sorry but men just dont see things in the same way we do. He is very good at doing all the washing for me so that is one less big job that I have to do that I would have normally spent all day on a Sunday doing. He doesnt however have much common sense and thinks that all whites should be washed on HOT , and that its perfectly ok to mix lights, darks and coloureds if you only have a few of each :wall: cue much cursing when I get in from work and discover the disasters (not that he can even notice). Work, I have changed my role and for the last 18 months have been working in HR which is great, my old job was frustrating me to the point of aggression so I needed to change and was given an opportunity of a secondment which has now been made permanent and they are going to give me the support to train which is fantastic (although the thought of studying again at nearly 51 is somewhat daunting). My hours have changed so I am now out of the house at 8 and back in at 6 so although I intend on flying time is limited as I will still have to cook dinner (he wont do it unless I leave a list of instructions beforehand and then he adds in all sorts of things 'to his weird taste'. I also will have to walk the dog as DD cannot be relied on and doogie is getting fat (although DH will occasionally do this without a request to do so).
DD is now 15 almost 16 and for those who 'knew'me before know what a handful she was, has calmed down a little but we will never have the relationship that I would like with her, we are too alike, and she is daddy's girl through and through. He gives her what she wants mostly when she wants it and she loves it. DS is now 22 and moved out in October to rent a little house with his girlfriend of 4 years and they are so happy but Imiss him dreadfully, he was my rock. I will miss him even more from January (ooh thats now) as for the last 18 months he has been working at the same company as I work but from 5th he will be training to be a Police Officer and I am so proud of him. It was touch and go right to the wire whether he got in as he was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis last January after 6 months of illness but he is in and we are keeping fingers crossed for him.

I had a bit of the black dog after Christmas so although I wasnt posting I did some flying, removed all the Christmas stuff on Monday and packed it all away and have decided that although most of the house isnt too bad it is time for a major declutter in the rooms that look like dumping grounds (including our bedroom) and instead of thinking I will ebay or facebook this which I either never do, or it never sells on the latter, I am going to offer it all to my a local cat charity that my friends supports as they have a shop and I'm sure they always need donations. Stuff will go and I will have the house I want. I have also decided I am not paying for a holiday this year, there is work that needs doing on the house and never the money to do it so that will be my priority (I am sure I suffer with SAD so I hope that we have a good weather year in the hope that I dont cave in and book something at the last minute and with 37 days holiday to take this year it wouldnt be too difficult to get time off)

Anyway enough rambling, I need to shower and dress, avoid the town (and the Michael Kors jacket that I nearly bought yesterday) and get flying so once again

    Happy New Year xxx
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

    you've already got yours ;)

Welcome back KazM, glad DH is pulling his weight if not to your standards. Hopefuly you can work your way through the bits that need doing and he can carry on with the other stuff.

I need to dry my hair, feed neighbours mogs and then hoover and mop (may move the sleeping kittens first)

Not too good start to the year for me. I've cancelled plans to go for a walk with DD as my hips are hurting again which is probably down to sitting at my desk doing finances so much yesterday. :(
