I'm counting the ironing challenge as completed as it would be if DD could follow simple instructions and put THE WHITES THAT ARE IN THE LAUNDRY BASKET in the machine rather than the darks from the floor which then got themselves a boil wash. They'll have to stay in the dryer until I'm ready for them :o.

New pillows and bedding applied and they are so beautiful :)

ETA: keep meaning to say, glad MrNarco's home :)

Well my plan today was to have some me-time - so why have I still not managed to finish watching the film I decided to watch?

Meanwhile I have taken a leaf out of Gilly's book and changed the bed including the under sheet and turned the mattress. Some washing is done bar the sheets and a yummy meat and potato pie is nearly ready. I have also (guess where this came from) washed out my bird feeders which now have no manky gunge in the bottom. We only have blackbirds, starlings, thrushes, sparrows, collared doves and the occasional robin or tit but I enjoy their antics.

Well Honeybear it looks as if Flylady opinion means you need a new New Year's Resolution.

So pleased OH is home Narc0.

jacci45 as someone who also works full-time, the answer to how I cope with all the housework is "I don't". However every little job done is better than me thinking about doing it and getting nothing done. And all the Flyladies inspire me, and as they are not American Flyladies they admit they are not perfect too.

Off to find the pickled red cabbage and see if my pastry is cooked yet.

And I need to give some thought to good deeds and positive thinking for 2015.

I have spent the day going over the years finances and doing laundry as I'm not feeling too well atm. The penultimate load is in, but I doubt I'll manage to get the last one done before midnight. I won't get the ironing done tonight either as my back is aching :( At least the wash baskets are empty which isn't bad considering DD didn't get home until 9pm last night and didn't finish unpacking until gone 11am this morning

Tomorrow I'm going to take the rest of the decorations down, clean and get organised with a few stickers etc for my diary. DD can help if she wants to watch her new DVDs, instead of sitting on her bottom stuffing her face like she has today  For the week she was away my house was clean and tidy. Within 2 minutes of her waving her dad off my livingroom looked like a landfill :(

Tonight its a quiet night in, DD is determined to stay up until midnight. I'm ready for my bed though so I may chase her soon, but I can't go up until the WM has finished anyway. I have laundry on both radiators downstairs, I haven't cooked the party food or done the Christmas Dinner either. Oh well, tomorrow is another day and year and it'll all still be there tomorrow ;)

I'd like to wish you all a very Happy New Year; for those who have had struggles (of any sort) this year I hope your path through life becomes smoother and straighter.

And I wish you all the strength to meet the challenges life throws. Remember your online flymates are always here to support, to listen and to care.

And I would like to say a HUGE thanks to those of you who help ME to keep plodding on!

Lovely words, Valli - I'm a bit emotional here and those words have made me tearful (good tears though!). I don't know how I'd get through everything without the support of you guys :A

I guess I'm feeling a little bit sorry for myself sitting in on my own on New Year's Eve :o Ah well!

I have several things to look forward to in 2015 so must focus on those :D

I have also been thinking about a Flylady meet or 2 for next year - it's been too long! Watch this space ;)

Wishing you all a Happy New Year - you are all amazing :T xx
