Mooloo don't forget FB has local selling groups too. You might manage to sell it there.0

Today will be another busy day, at work there are 5 bridesmaids dresses to alter plus the jobs that came in since Friday to start, and a few historic jobs need completing, so looks like my other lady and I will be kept on our toes!
At home the washing needs drying still before I bring home the cases from holiday tonight, and there is a growing mountain of school prep to get done.
Still no sign of twin1's baby. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Wow! Busy busy. Still at work.
22 new jobs in today. Lost count of number of walk in fittings I did.
All good. Enough work in for all of us for the next week anyway.
DGD has gone to tea at her friends so that gives me the time for the overtime.
Really hungry now so got to be time to go home! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Day off. Driving duty, took DS's GF to Northampton to sort out her benefits. Nightmare she didn't sort it out after 15 weeks maternity was up, so housing benefit etc stopped as did all their other money. So threatening to loose house. ( first I heard of it ). She was in bad mood was horrible to DS and I had to tell her she needed to sort herself out as she would loose him if she wasn't careful. Girl is pure vitriol!
After dropped her, went into town to book my eye appointment for next week. Then back to check my Mums. landscaper has started the back.
Went to see Biggest of Mooloo's, and discussed future work etc, family, etc
Of course the bonus is I got hugs from both of my grandsons and Dgd2.
Had lunch with Biggest etc, and then had dentist appointments this afternoon.
I'm tired, neck aches, and have a headache. Early night tonight then. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Struggling today as yesterday with neck trouble and headaches. Had to come home early.
I hope I am better tomorrow because I have a lot of work to do, as I need the money in the bank to pay the rent on Tuesday. I'm not there yet, which is scarey. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

So why didn't he sort it out?
I agree. I've been reading this thread/diary for a long time, and what's become apparent is that you, Mooloo, desperately want to help your children without having the means to do so.
Despite their problems, they chose to have babies. Not you.
You are still trying to get a business off the ground, but it won't work if you don't keep a business head on. There is ZERO point having a business that doesn't pay you a salary. ZERO.
The aim of the business would be for you to be able to live off it, which you are not. You are keeping it running: paying rent, paying staff...but you are not paying yourself. This is fine for most small businesses for about 6 months, if they have the capital/other means. But this has been going on for a lot longer.
You really need to get in touch with a business advisor, because what you are doing is not financially viable at the moment. And it could be!0 -
The business is viable, it's increasing month on month, but I was investing on different products etc to enhance the Buisness rather then take a wage.
We are going to have a sale next week, and clear through the clothing. Then we are relocating the seamstresses to the middle floor, and then only having ladies and some children's better quality clothing on the ground floor.
The middle floor changing room is going to be relocated, and the fridge etc moved.
I only have my top up bills for the stock of Hemline and Patterns now, as we sell increasing amounts more.
By the time I banked today we had the rent and insurance money, and then the takings this afternoon will cover the wages for next week for the staff.
I took out £60 this week.
So it is getting there.
We have around £350 waiting to be paid for and some £350 still to do.
So that will be done by next Friday.
The sale will hopefully generate some interest as it runs along side our 12months trading celebrations.
Any clothes that are left after the sale are going to come out, and be sold on line on the Mooloo's Nearly New Facebook page.
There is also a page for the Mooloo Makes, and the Thermal Cooking Bags.
Biggest of Mooloo is going to help keep those updated etc.
We are looking at having a Satelite branch in the next town, for taking in alterations on a week turn around, that will be brought back to our shop for the actual sewing.
The lessons are sparking an interest again, and that brings in some well earned funds too.
On the home front, I'm not trying to do it for the kids, I'm trying to let them sort it out themselves, but transport is an issue to sign on when you have no money and the bus is £8 odd
Twin1 is now currently in the throws of labour, and DGS 5 is well on his way. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Twin 1 successfully delivered a baby boy, 6lb 6oz, at 6.30pm on 29/08
6 days passed her due date. Both now back at home. He looks so small compared to his cousin born on the 11th, at 1/3 smaller in weight.
I saw a photo, then a glimpse on Skype last night.
Must send some of the smaller clothes and scratch mittens as the stuff he is in is swamping him!
Juggling time out to take DGD to see her new sibling will be the hardest part as it's a bit far for a round trip. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Just home from a rainy day BBQ with Biggest of Mooloo's family and friends. Thank goodness for Party tent and Gazebo!
We weren't going to let rain stop play. Oh and I got a cuddle with DGS4 after he had slept the first two plus hours we were there. Thought I was going to have to go before he woke at one stage.
Back home with a cuppa and time to cosy up on the sofa and get warm again. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
