I thought you were recommended to direct them to Reception or somewhere central? Hope they arrive soon!Signature removed for peace of mind0

Our courier couldn't find us on Monday, so lots of frantic communications back and forth, and waiting outside the gates for hours on end. They had agreed morning delivery. The bags finally arrived at 3.30 Tuesday. When the little bar on the street opened up we went there and while on our second drink ( and I did a trip to the supermarket), while my friend waited with DGD, we flagged down the DHL van and got our bags.'
There is no reception area, we are in a private apartment, secure by gates everywhere! Lesson learned.
But it's now here, and we have more clothes etc so we are fine.
We have eaten out in the evenings the last two nights, the first was terrible, but last nights was much better, although the bill was a bit in accurate, over charges us an extra coke and a water we didn't have. But the food was good, and there were extra's we didn't order ( and were not charged, on the house, a cocktail, a baileys, and an ice cream ) which is probably why the extra coke etc was charged, or am I just cynical in my old age.
The pool here is not huge, but it's well maintained, very few people are in it at any one time, and it's quite warm. DGD is hardly out of the water.
My eldest, biggest of Mooloo's has had a boy by c section at some stage yesterday. She was due the day before, and we were all waiting to find out what she was having. I don't know any more details yet.
Time for breakfast, and a dip in the pool. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Congratulations to her and your new grandson." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

The new grandson is a bonnie wee thing. Well not so wee, as he came in at 9lb 7oz, after 60 hours of labour, he got stuck etc and they had to have another c section. Mum and baby are all home and doing well. So I know where my first port of call will be when I get home.
DGD has Swimmers Ear, so have had to go to the farmacia, and get her drops and their version of Calpol.
It's very hot out here, and so we don't stray that far from the pool, or the apartment, and siesta in the early evenings before going out for meals around 9.30/10pm. Which is still early for the Spanish.
Twin1 is still hanging on to her baby, spoke to DGD on Skype yesterday. She's got some sort of chest infection at the moment.
DGD was a little upset that she doesn't see her enough, and is realising that time between visits etc is getting further and further apart.
I have relaxed, sunbathed, diary bashed, and read a couple of books. Currently reading Chicken Soup for the Woman's Soul, that was in the bookcase downstairs.
But I'm bored, of swimming and sunshine, and not a lot else, other then beer and food. I'm ready to go home and get to work again. But I have another week before I go back to work.
After such an intense year it seams strange being off for so long. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
you need to make the most of it, i bet you'll be full on when you get home0

Congratulations on the safe arrival of your new grandson, Mooloo! :T
Why not ask in your local friendly bar what attractions, ferias or fiestas there are locally that you could visit [- not in the middle of the hot days though!]. Bound to be something, as all Spain celebrates right through August. Or if there are language problems, have a look on FB for the local English Info page and ask on there - you'll probably get lots of suggestions from full-time residents who know the best places to go..
ps. I drove right past the town where your shop is, two days after you went on holiday - typical bad timing, lol.0 -
Congratulations on the birth of your second grandson this year!
Enjoy the remainder of your holidays.0 -
Home at last.
Spent yesterday catching up with the shop, visiting my newest Grandson for a cuddle, food shopping etc
Today is the last full day at home, with plenty to do, on the home and garden front.
The back garden has grown so fast. So I am hoping that it won't rain while I catch up.
Washing of clothes, getting school clothes sorted, and making sure we have a menu plan sorted for a healthier few weeks.
I put on 3lb over the holidays, and I'm now at my heaviest ever in my life at 10st 3lb! So for the first time in my life I will really need to think more healthy eating and cut the beer and wine down!
Not that I would normally be drinking beer and wine everyday!
Twin1's baby is due today. But she seems to be hanging on in there like her sister this time. Not that we will be able to visit for a while.
There is quite a bit of work in for me to do, so I shall be sewing for the rest of the week, as one of the other sewers is away this coming week, as is the reception lady. ( I need to double check the number of hours they have had holiday and make sure I only pay them the allotted amounts!)
Need to look into the diary and check.
Time to get the breakfast and start in the kitchen!

Well I managed to cut about half of my lawn. It took some doing, as it was so long in shaded places etc. Alas I was hindered with piles of cat poo and dead bird bits! My neighbours cats have been having fun!
The smell was horrible!
The washing machine has been on since breakfast, but now the rain has arrived it means the wet washing is in the bathroom.
I've had chicken salad for lunch. DGD has made a den behind the sofa and is watching something in the kindle.
I've also cooked a chicken, so as soon as my F1 finishes then I shall carve it up, and get it into some meals for the week. Hoping to prepare several meals to stop me popping to the supermarket every day. Something that was happening before we went away. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Time for bed, but a quick update.
Suitcases arrived back today. Great service coming back anyway.
I was on my own today at work and DGD was back at Holiday Club.
I worked methodically through the items waiting, and did 15 jobs. I also did 5 fittings, and took in another 15 jobs.
So that was a good day.
I need to get the work through the system ASAP as after paying staff for two weeks and not earning there isn't enough in the bank to pay the rent yet. I have a week to find £1,000 as there are still wages and rent and some bills, to pay, and only £369 in the account.
So I was glad of one of today's jobs in will be £64 and she paid upfront.
I have some £159 still not collected from before aswell.
Fingers crossed I will scrape through the week and be ok.
Would help if I could sell some extra's too, like the clothes etc.
Thought I had sold the wedding dress today, but she changed her mind.
I'm not prepared to sell it for less then £125. I shall put it on eBay or somewhere first. I was asking £200 so she was pushing her luck, but I'm in no hurry to make a loss (yet!)
