Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Mooloo - fleas are hideous so sorry. I moved into a property when I was 17 that had been used by the previous inhabitant to bring strays home (they were an animal charity of some kind) my first night there I walked from my room to the bathroom and looked down in horror to see my legs were crawling with fleas. The council had to fumigate twice to rid me of them. I had terrible bites by the time they'd gone for good. I really urge you to get the council to act now.

Our local council charges £100 to come treat your home for fleas. Much cheaper to buy a spray and do it yourself.

Which Mooloo has already done and she still has fleas in the house!
Council 'stuff' is far more effective than OTC stuff and the cost covers more than one visit if needed.
Surely £100 to the council is worth having a vermin free home?

Got to agree with this - I moved into a rented property once where the previous owner had had a cat and seemingly no problem with fleas. but as soon we moved in I was bitten terribly - legs covered with red swellings. DIY didn't do it. Save your cash and energy and get it done properly with council would be my advice. It's not worth the poor health/poor sleep to endure this any longer.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

I don't bring work home. I go in to do any work. But will attack the place tomorrow. If the alarms get covered with a bag first. Hopefully they won't go off!
We will use mosquito repellant on us tonight, as my skin has been clearing up etc, so I don't want to trigger more itching.
It's never been on my legs hence I didn't think about fleas at first.
And as cats had been treated.

Tomorrow is supposed to bey day off, but I have one dress that must be done before Thursday to still so, so I will pop in after a cuppa and a chat with a friend. I can go in when it suits as staff there tomorrow but I need to do this one dress myself.
I had a really good start to the day, and had speeded through some jobs like a hot knife through butter. But the shelves are still full because we had 26 new jobs in today. ( my adverage number of jobs in a week when we started!).
We are close to the 980+ at the moment so we will hit the 1000 very soon.
My staff had a tidy up and a change around in the shop as we are taking delivery of the sewing patterns on Thursday!
The accessories are starting to sell, and we have only had the stand about a week. Really pleased.
I was happy with the day, although I didn't stop to count the money. Quite a bit of it had already paid upfront. The staff often takes for the job as it is booked in now. If the customer asks if they pay now she accepts. But I do miss the satisfaction of handing a garment back and then putting the money in the tin.
Now that if have stopped I am quite tired.
But I need to do some housework, and paperwork tonight.

Just found out that my Uncle, Dad's brother died in hospital yesterday.
I am not that close these days, but it is sad for the rest of the uncles and aunties to loose two brothers in 1 month.
DGD has stabbed herself with her fork! Not paying attention to what she was doing! How she hadn't broken any bones in life yet is beyond me. Clumsy, is her middle name.

I have used flea bombs for years and never noticed you have to cover the smoke alarms!! Setting off flea bombs has never set off a smoke alarm in my house.

I would set off the bomb and then close the door to that room meaning all the chemicals remain in that room.

I have always found them very effective and also spray the edges of the room with normal household flea killer. Make sure you check how many bombs you need per room - the bigger the room the more you need.

No,she bought flea bombs to set off this weekend, which, imho, are ineffective. I suggested she bought a very effectual spray for less than £10 online. Others suggested she call in the council but they charge £100 to do exactly the same job you can do yourself with the £10 spray.

Her call. She's an incredibly intelligent lady that looks to save money where possible and I've shown her how to eradicate the fleas for pennies. Her call

I will set off the flea bombs tomorrow as I have them and order the stuff you suggest Feral Moon.
I can't afford the council at the moment.
I have taken yet another cut in my income so until I feel able pay myself wages from the shop then I will have to hope that the combination long side a deep clean will do the trick.
