I think your pizza and wedges tea looks beautiful Greying :kisses3:
I know what you mean about not-the-most-tasty-tea though. I'm an expert at itI can take the most promising ingredients and turn them into a grey mush (particularly with soup).
Fortunately, Mr Cheery is completely the opposite, and is a Soup Rescuer Extraordinaire - whatever I've made he will come in and add a few magic ingredients and it will miraculously taste fabulous :rotfl:
He can also live for several days off porridge alone, and would do so quite often if I didn't start the cooking process. We muddle along nicely together:rotfl:

Greying what a lovely sounding tea. I know it wasn't quite what you imagined but you did save waste.

good morning, tea looked lovely, as usual, GP, wish l could eat cheese.
my tea was salad, don't know why l bothered, l don't like lettuce, or cucumber, and the tomatoes were wet and tasteless, so shredded white cabbage, peppers and beetroot, grated carrot and green beans(cold). garish to see, rather than colourful, and b-o-r-i-n-g to consume.
l know what you mean about the small sums building up this has been that sort of (expensive) month. l WILL do better in June.
Looking forward to tonights pic of your tea. Off into the greenhouse, till the china Skype.0 -
Good Morning :hello:
Cheery - I now have visions of MrCheery whooshing into the kitchen, with a chef's toque on and a cape of black and white chequerboard, twiddling a fancy moustache, whilst simultaneously adding a soupcon of *this*, and a dash of *that* and a speck more *oooh la la* :rotfl: BRAVO! for the Soup Rescuer's of the World :T......... Do you hire him out?
starnac - what an incredibly kind and supportive comment. Thank you
mrsinvisible - heelllllloooooo! Long time no see. Are you well? We're having 'end of t'month' teas here at GTHQ tooNot sure what is *supposed* to be for tea tonight  May we have a weather update for China please? I think that it is fab that by a couple of button clicks, you can be thousands of miles away. Plus I'm nosey................ :rotfl:
Dinner last night ended up being the curry plate that was actually on the planner! I didn't take a pic, but we had lentil dhal, rice and carrot fry. The carrot fry is supposed to be more of a stir-fry dish, but I add a bit of water to steam the carrots, and make more of a 'gravy', which makes mine more conventional 'curry-like'. It was a nice combination, and I added a little lemon juice to the carrot fry, just as I was finishing off cooking it, and it appeared to bring out the sweetness of the carrots, so it worked well against the slightly spiced dhal and the blander boiled rice. Also an economical plate of food :T
Right, I'm away to make some breakfast, fancy a bit of scrambled eggs on toast with brown sauce. I expect DP will join me - even though porridge has already been consumed *sigh* :rotfl:
Thanks everso for your on-going support. It is much appreciated. Always.
See y'all later.

Morning all, OH and I arrived home on Tuesday from 22 days in Pippi lands and Lancashire. We motored and caravanned over 2000 miles and saw so much wonderful scenery and met oodles of friendly and helpful people. Ate tasty grub, a lot self catered, but lots of tea (and cake for OH) was partaken of. Loads of dosh spent, but it had been saved for, really need to tighten belts to replenish funds in June to pay for some more jaunts. OH and I are "getting on a bit" (well he is LOL) so we must get out there and "do" and not just keep thinking about it.
Great to have caught up properly rather than a quick skim through the posts, as ever your food looks so yummy GP.
P.S. one of the holiday highlights was seeing Golden Eagles twice, amazing and not at all diminished by having seen them several times before. Off to finish the washing (wish someone would come and put it away for me, I hate that part) and some weeding. Have a good Sunday everyone. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

Really? You surprise me - the tangy, slightly spiced flavour* goes nicely with eggs. Just like the kick of tabasco goes well with eggs tooAnyways, I've munched them and I'm now content and full
Just as well, as we've already started with our chores around the house. Frankly - who needs the gym? :rotfl:

Hello Greying and chums, I have been away for a couple of months as the black dog knocked me right off balance and I hid from people in TO and here. Am venturing forth and pushing myself to make contact as you are all so lovely. I've been reading quietly to catch up and am so glad you are back! While you were away it was quite literally grey!
I'll be dipping in and out as I get back on track. Love to all xxxWith family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!
