Good Morning :hello:
Hope that the day has started well for you, whatever you find yourself doing today.
We are off adventurising
Chocolate cake is involved
I spotted a link that justdaj had left on Frugaldom's Forum for a recipe that Sarah had devised for a £1 chocolate cake :j I followed the link over to Sarah's blog to find the recipe and had a bash at making it last night when the oven was on to make bread.
Went well...... the chocolate *curls* were especially fun to try out, although if I made them again, I wouldn't be so enthusiastic with my spreading between greaseproof paper - mine were a bit thin. But for a first attempt :j
The cake will easily make 6 portions (cooked mine in a 1lb loaf tin). It isn't quite as fudgy as a cake make with hard fats ie butter/marg. But for a £1, it is easy to make and gives you a choccy hit
Right, I best get going, not got me walking boots out yetPicnic is packed though
See y'all later.

Have fun GP. My adventurising will be going to mum's and coping with small children (the 5yo likes being 'teacher' complete with "It's your own time you're wasting" accompanied by look) and mad puppies (who are no longer puppies but still act the fool and try to jump onto your knee). Not to mention the 26yo and the 80+yo who haven't grown out of/ have reverted to being 6yo.
Ah well, a change is as good as a rest.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Sound lush hun! - I'd vote for making everyday Friday if my mister offered to cookHope you were spoiled rotten all day and that it continues into the weekend
Our day has been brill. We got soaked, but we were high up on moorland, and it was mist as much as rain, but luckily we were on our way back, so a quick change of clothing in a (thankfully) deserted carpark made us comfortable again. Lunch was munched watching - and being watched by - some of the cutest and tiniest little lambs that you have everseen. Pity I'm a practical sort, as had I had me 'andbag on me, several would have fitted quite comfortably inside
A day FULL of simple pleasures. For that I am truly grateful

Funny you mention octogenarian teenagers... mum has today been complaining she has become the mum to her childlike mum who has just reached the 'Why?' stage of dementia.
Still mum finds it amusing for the moment, in equal measure to the exasperation most of the time.
Day out sounds wonderful GP. Jealous of the lambs. We can go and feed some locally... the days when I wish I could drive as it is just impossible to get to otherwisexx
