:rotfl::rotfl:Ooh....now you could be on a possible deal if you live anywhere near me and have anything edible growing there. I'm always up for a bit of barter...:)
EDIT; Darn...just spotted you live in Northern Ireland...oh well...that was an idea (stymied by me being in Wales).0 -
Hey all.
GP I very nearly bought fenugreek seeds along with the rest of them. Shall add them to the list for next time, thanks for the tip!! Have got fennel seeds next to my ear (on top of the fridge) so excited about using those as I love the smell!!

It's ok. No need for panic. When I rule the world there will be a statute of limitation on parental responsibility.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. :rotfl: you lot :rotfl:
Just had a major catch up - I confess I hadn't been in here for a while and didn't even realise you were going on gardening leave! :rotfl: (wish you'd been on gardening leave in *my* garden - I've just spent an hour tackling a 12 foot high mock orange  )
Welcome backAnd hooray for a lovely walk - might be worth telling the council who made the leaflet if it's recent - can't be encouraging people to do that!

Section 333 of the 1980 Highway act says that anyone is allowed to clear an obstruction from the highway (so that's footpath or carriageway).
Technically the landowner has a responsibility to maintain the footpath, but sometimes it doesn't happen (can't or won't) and then the council can either clear the obstruction and invoice the landowner, or start enforcement proceedings. Well done for using your secateurs

Wouldn't fancy trying to get my new-to-me Council to deal with it. Havent yet been able to get them to do anything actually:(. Havent figured out yet whether its because they are more used to "direct action" than my last Council or way more broke than my last Council or what....
I was all ready to smile sweetly/put on my best "confident of entitled to do it" demeanour/state I was "doing my good deed for the day" (in jokey tone of voice)....if I was challenged. But I wasnt:D0 -
In my experience, Councils do tend to respond to the people who complain the most... It's not right, or fair, but that's how it is. So the best thing to do is to find the customer service phone number, and then ring it, as often as you can bear. They'll respondLBM 1st Feb 2015 £18182 to go
