Hey there!
joeyjimbles - you are so right about the weather! That's why I couldn't quite make up my mind what to make, as it had been warmer earlier on, but by the time that we sat down to eat, it was like autumn!
What a nice time I have had
I don't think that I could afford to go out for coffee and cake every week, but once in a while...... my choice of blueberry and lemon cake was a good 'un too:D My newish friend is really good company too - a great conversationalistIt's as if we've known each other for yonks. And even though she is mucho younger than me (isn't everyone?) we get on really well and have similar outlooks - ie try to be forward thinking with a counter balance of sensibleness when needed or a sense of fun when not......
I am still none the wiser as to what to make for us tea, but I shall away and ponder. I don't think that Baby Greying is going to have a nap, they are currently having too much fun trying to tap the keyboardI've some admin to attend to too.
Mmm, best shift a tail-feather and get on with it

Good Evening :hello:
Well, what a day. I'm bushed
You'll be glad to hear that I took a quick trip back up the high st (thank goodness we don't live too far away) this afternoon, to pick up some tofu for teaI figured that it was worth the expenditure of time and shoe leather, and would mean that i could feel virtuous having exercised after eating cake...............:rotfl:
So, tea ended up being a mix of things bought and storecupboard items, and I made a buddha bowl based on - of all things - a recipe for peruvian roast chicken with green sauce! :rotfl:Yes, dear reader, I AM a vegetarian..........Anyway, in keeping with the peruvian theme, I cooked some Quinoa (h0me bargins £1.49 for 300g) and ran some 'cooked' (in lime juice) red onion, chopped coriander and cherry tomatoes (mrL 39p a 250g punnet) through it. I topped that with some pureed sweetcorn. I then marinated some tofu in similar ingredients (ie what I had) that you marinated the chicken and fried until warm through and plonked them on the corn. I topped it all off with half a sliced avocado (ripe and delicious!) and poured some of the green sauce over. I did make the sauce a bit too runny (first time I had made it) but this was because I used runny natural yoghurt rather than soured cream. But it was lovely - fresh and zesty tasting. Definitely a keeper of a recipe all round. Picture here;
Today I am grateful for these 3 things;
good conversation and a burgeoning friendship - priceless
cake that is actually worth paying for - even if it is 'pricey'
for the support of this online community and y'all cheering me on from the sidelines - priceless
Thanks for popping in, reading and joining in. It is appreciated, greatly. By me. Never feel that I take you for granted, because I don't :A

Good Morning :hello:
Can anybody tell me how bee tee continue to exist as a company, when they are so farking useless????? I loathe making changes to my account, because they always manage to louse it up. However, we took advantage of the sim only deal that they had a couple of months ago. There was quite a good deal on if you already had their BB package.
I knew it would louse things up...........
I had just stabilised my bill from the last louse up (daring to pay my line-rental up front), and wasn't surprised to learn that taking out the mobile package entitled them to change you to whole bill DD, on a date of their choosing. OK thought I, I can live with that for a year. Except they are not taking all that I owe them. They are virtually only charging me for the mobiles...... I will quickly get into arrears. They are a bunch of..............
And is it easy to communicate with this communications giant? Is it buffalo. Their online chat demands you put your case in 240 characters. I am somewhat verbose and got it wrong. So i edited. Still too long. So I edited some more. Still too long. So I edited out most of the pertinent reason for contacting them. Still too long........ I don't think bee tee can count to 240.
*sigh*
I'm going to have to ring them.
*sigh*
I hate ringing bee tee.
*sigh*
Happy Friday everyone

Morning Greying
I would recommend emailing the CE with your findings. You can g@@gle his name & email address. They are normally very responsive (VIP help desk basically) and it gives them real client feedback rather than stats from central contact centre.
Hope that helps

Oooh, ta Tilly. I shall do thatAnd see what happens - after all, all I want to do is pay them the money that I know that I owe them
I know what 'ball park' figure my DD should be each month, to keep 'in the black' so I know that they are currently taking waaay too little - something like a third of what they should be,
The phone is a blessing. Someone has just sent me some lovely pictures to see. Quite made my morning

Hi Greying, finally remembered to check the brand of sweet potato fries. They are by handy foods, an irish company and are stocked by dunnes, an irish chain store with food halls. Not sure if you have them.

Good Morning :hello:
I followed Tilly's adviceand sent an e-mail to the ceo of bee tee. I had a response back and my case is being looked into. I have been given a deadline as to when they say they will get back to me (ie the latest I will be contacted by an operative) and that they are working on my case. Fingers crossed
And a BIG thanks to Tilly for the advice - it certainly worked much better than their online 'contact' system. It's been said before, but is worth repeating, Tilly :A:D

Ah, Why does Dunnes seem familiar? Especially on checking, I know I won't have been to any of the stores that are in England/Scotland - odd :think: Anyhoo, I've not heard of handy foods, but then I do know that food manufacturers make products under all sorts of brand names don't they? I may give mrW's product a go sometime to see if it was the h3ron brand that I just didn't take to.
Tea last night was a cheat - Junk, basicallyOven chips, onion rings, mushy peas - only one bag left now to use up :eek: and HM walnut and beetroot burgers. It was stone cold by the time we both got to eat
But that's life isn't it. The day had been overall good, but I had had to go out in the bright sunshine and then wait in a stuffy, hot waiting room for too long. So the afternoon is something of a blur. I did get to watch some of the olympic cycling in the evening though - what a great effort. Although unfortunate that when dealing with a 'team' the media seem to concentrate on one individual too much.
Curry will be on the agenda tonight. I'm not sure what varieties yet, but I've bits and bobs that need utilising, so I'll have a think.
My 3 'gratefuls' yesterday were;
for help from my 'online' friends - given generously and selflessly.
for seeing lovely pics of a happy day - made my day
for Baby Greying's healthy progress - made my day even better
Have a great Saturday.

Anyone listening to Anneka on R2? Should we take bets on which telecommunications company it was that incorrectly billed her for over £300 worth of calls she didn't make? And as she said, she was on hold to the complaints department for 40 minutes, and in all it took an hour to sort out. An hour of her life she says she won't get back.
An hour of a customer's life. Lost.
For a mistake that the company made.
Really not good enough in 2016.

l am currently with Bee Tea and was considering their sim only offer but after your and anneka's experience l may have to review it. sorry l havent posted in ages, l read daily, but will try to do better on the posting side.
Glad to hear that the Greying greyling is hale and hearty, even if they do encourage cold meals!
Oh, no, rain! how unusual, not.
