Do you mean the pinwheels? I didn't, because i didn't leave enough of an edge. But ordinarily, you should do i think
What a day.
We were up with the larks. Chores attended to. Enjoyment during family time shopping had + a chip butty. Baby Greying has kept busy, having had two baths already today......... my trousers are in the wash currently, after a *warm & fuzzy* feeling seeped out of the *containment mechanism* and the love was shared................... :rotfl:BG just went straight into the bath - no wipe was robust enough...... :rotfl:
*Administration* has kept me busy this week. Hopefully it has reached its zenith and I've conquered it. Still behind with some *pleasure* correspondance, so I'll have to get on to that pronto, as I need to include some pics of BG, who will have passed their cycling proficiency, flute grade 11 and have a 25 year long service award from their employer, if I don't get a move on!
I've yet again been bowled over by the *kindness of strangers* - you know, the *friends you haven't met yet* varietyKindness is a very underrated virtue. I wonder would so many not very nice and down-right nasty things happen, if kindness was a little more prevalent in the world. The *me first* attitude is causing problems for us at the moment - it's amazing how selfish humans have become. Worse still, when it's your own kin...................... strange how some people can just *give*. They give, things, money or their time, and ask nothing of you. They are delighted to help, or want you to have x,y or z, because they know that'll you'll use it or value it. Whilst other people think that they rights, access or priveledges just by dint of birth, and don't have to display any respect to a fellow human being. Their family connection trumps all. Thoroughly jaded with it. But buoyed up by supportive friends and the 'normal' bits of wider clan Greying......
And at the end of the day, many of us have friends we choose and family who....... we wouldn't necessarily...........
Right, I've a simple curry to knock up - ramja masala, with a bit of boiled rice.
Toodle oooooh,

Speaking of warm and (hopefully NOT) fuzzy how was the curry
We had bbq thus was the amazing appearance of the sun with haloumi and sweetcorn. Yummy it was too. As we ate our meat free nosh, I did think of you.
And, I am constantly surprised, amazed and perplexed at humanity. Kindness, real kindness me dear of which you possess, is our greatest gift I think.
And you've reminded me, I must get DS to sort that box of clothes out for a chum up north's DS. Passing on the love and all that.
And, I hope today, (final and by the way, you'll excuse me I've been out since 5.30am battling with beasties in the garden, and weeding. Suns out.) I digress, back to today, hope that its marvelous and no more sharing from BG.
Kind as it is, dear heart BG, somethings are best contained in their containment devices.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Good Morning :hello:
:rotfl:Dearest Pippi - I have just roared with laughter at your post! The curry was grand thank you kindly, I even found a pot of lentil dhal in the freezer, so we had Ramja Masala, lentil dhal and rice. Very simple, very inexpensive and very filling. We had a mAgnummy 'Black xpresso' for dessert - £1 for 5 in h3r0n f00ds. Mmm, well lush and a very 'grown up' lolly methinksI don't suppose 'us tea' came in at much more than £1 a head, as there was curry left over for another day
There are places where that type of icecream would set you back £2 for one lolly
Grilled halloumi and sweetcorn sounds well lush - set a plate for us next time eh? :rotfl:
Happy Father's DayI'm afraid I have never been a fan of the 'Allmark 'olidays' meself. However, the sentiment can be expressed without spending a small fortune. Baby Greying has given daddy an inexpensive card (thank you h0me bargins
), but one that actually had something on it pertinent to DH, and we've made up pancake batter for blueberry (YS'd) pancakes for brekkie. A real treat in DH's eyes. BG is still a little young to appreciate the pancakes, but we'll get them good at the making of them, so that they can be a pancake whipper-upper in the future
DH has changed nappies, read stories and cried with overwhelmedment in equal measure already this morning
I was just listening to the Mary Chap1n-carpenter interview on R2 and she was saying that she has finally 'given up giving a damn' about what people think etc and is going to just live her life her way. She is 58...... Yep, kindness is the way forward, and if folk ain't kind then leave them behind.
Right, best get the frying pan fired up and get the production line started.
Ta for popping in and supporting me. Oh, and  at supersaver - I see you honeyWas thinking of you and Lilty only t'other day

I realised half way through cooking that I had forgotten to put baking powder in. So N1gella's American style pancakes were a bit flat......:o But it didn't affect the taste one bit!And yes, dear reader, that IS ice-cream on the side...... my excuse is that there was only one and a half scoops left in the tub (to have had it with the last dessert we had would have been too many scoops each!) and the tub was taking up a disproportionate amount of space in the (already full) freezer
Plus, you only get your 'First Father's Day' once, so it's worth celebrating in style

Ha, that's very kind of you INOD, but in the book, the pancakes are about half an inch thick! Mine definitely weren't - despite adding in some baking powder, once I realised my error! Still, a nice treat food, that didn't break the bankClean plates all round
And DH felt really spoilt, so a win-win-win I think
DH and I were just chatting about what we were doing to the day (not date) this time a year ago..... NO it wasn't 'THAT'....... you lot......:rotfl:
We climbed up our mountain. How very, very different our lives were then, compared to now. Mmmm, but I wouldn't change a thing, not a single thing.

Ah, good to know BG shared the warm and fuzzy feeling around the family :rotfl:.
Oh yes, very 'Equality of opportunity' focussed is our Baby Greying..... :rotfl:
Well, we've been out for a little jaunt and a picnicWe went to a little spot that is actually an EH site, but one of those tiny 'blink and you'll miss it' places, that are free to access and you think you'll be the only one there at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon in the summer............ Unfortunately, the car park that had been on the site had been closed off, long since I would say. I expect it was a bit of a haven for anti-social activities. But we managed to squeeze into a space in the layby (another car there, but no-one around). We set up on the picnic table, and were busy taking pictures with BG when the world and his wife decided to descend. I don't know how many people turned up to see what they could see. Honestly, it's a little speck, in the middle of nowhere.......
Anyway, we munched our butties, ate our 'nosage' roll and crisps and then we struck camp as the rain started to set inStill, we got out and about, drove along a road that had grass growing in the middle of it  which reminded us of the 'Green way' (holloway) that we walked last year, and visited somewhere that we've not been before, and yet is quite pivotal to the history of where we live. A good time to cherish
Right, I'm going to upload the pictures I took and file them. Better to do it now, whilst I'm thinking about it, and can date and note them accurately.
See y'all in a bit.
