EE have me demented
Options
I have had an orange mobile contract for the last 12 months with another 12 months to go.
The phone i got with my contract decided to pack in, as i took the contract out through carphone warehouse i decided to check out their prices for a replacement phone and then compare the same phone direct from EE store.
The same phone was approx. £30 cheaper from EE store, so i decided to get a new phone from them on 17th Dec. 2014, but the cheaper option was to get a Pay as you go phone which also meant i have to get the sim with a £10 top up ( which i would never use, but could possibly sell this on).
The phone had 57% charge, so was enough to set the phone up, so i did this letting the phone discharge, to a point when it told me to connect to charger, so i turned phone off and connected charger and at this point the phone went dead, their was no indication it was charging and it would no longer turn on, so i left it and an hour later the same, 3 hrs later still the same, so packed this all up in the box ready to return to the store the following morning.
In the morning i thought i would give it another go, just to be sure, strange that when i pressed the on button it turned on, but still the same status it was when i turned it off the day before, so i turned it off again and connected the charger and this time it worked and about an hour later it was fully charged to 100%, so disconnected the charger and turned the phone on and placed it on my desk, then i noticed 5 minutes later the charge had gone from 100% to 70% with the phone just sitting on my desk doing nothing, when i checked this i noticed all the pre installed apps were showing as running, even though nothing was open, so packed the phone up and took it back to the store as this was within 24 hours i was expecting a replacement as it states on their website if returning a faulty phone within 14 days, but no all they did was give me a phone number to contact sony. i tried to explain their website and i wanted it replaced, they refused and told me to contact sony.
I left and then had to place my sim in an old phone so i could call their CS on 150, which i did and after an hr of being passed around i eventually got a very nice guy who told me he would send a replacement out to me the following day. I was told just to hand over the faulty phone to the delivery guy who would then give me a replacement phone. I did as instructed and handed the phone to courier who handed me a box with replacement phone and left. when i opened the replacement phone it did not have any back cover, so using my old phone i called CS again and explained this and trying to get them to understand what i had received and after 2 hrs i was told to go to any phone shop and purchase a back cover which i stated why should i as i purchased a faulty phone and they replaced it with an incomplete phone, it was then they said they would arrange a new back cover to be sent out but it will be well over 5 working days due to holidays. i would not accept this and demanded that they replace my phone with a full phone, they stated if they sent another replacement it would be the same as their replacements dont come with back covers and if the phone have removeable batteries then batteries are also not sent, so i should of kept the cover off the faulty phone ( which i was never told to do)
I then wrote a letter of complaint and disgust to their exec office and it took them a while to get back to me and when he did he could not understand why the shop gave me the phone number rather than replace the phone.
Anyway he arranged for a replacement retails boxed phone which arrived on Tues. 23rd Dec. great i thought, this new phone only at 10% charge, so i charged it up, but it only charges to 90% and then from 90% it whet to 20% in 2 hrs without me have a chance to set the phone up or do anything with it. great for a phone that Sony advertise as having a standby of 2 days.
so now it is 26th Dec. i purchased the phone on 17th Dec. so its 9 days without a working phone, so have emails their exec contact , but i dare say i wont get a reply until after the new year.
What can i do as my next move?

I purchased a Sony Xperia E3. why should i purchase another EE phone when they have provided me with faulty phones. it is still within the 14 days
their site clearly statesGeneral repair information
If you find a fault with your device within the first 14 days of purchase, we’ll offer you a brand new device.0 -
I have sony experia E1 and the battery never went to 100% always about 90% after hours charging anyway I set the phone battery saving to sony "stamina " mode and it charges to about 85% and today its on 70% and has 12 days 5 hours standby mode and last time I charged it was 3 days ago so go "settings" then "power management" then you can select stamina mode or low battery mode but I would select stamina and see if that solves problem
I may have got some of the above battery % wrong so I have put phone on charge to check and will give update in a hourLet them eat cake (Marie Antoinette 1765)0 -

well Ive charged mine while switched on and it charges to 98% and never goes to 100% , I think thats the way it is with sony phones , anyway sounds like your sony E3 is faulty and your post at the top is so long and complicated its hard to see all the problems you have with the phone, what I can make out is your old phone broke so you purchased a new unlocked or EE paygo sony phone and was going to put your orange contract sim card into new paygo phone but new phone is faulty.Let them eat cake (Marie Antoinette 1765)0

yes i got a orange contract through CPW and the phone i originally got started to play up(Blackberyy Z10), so i decided it was time to get a new phone to use with my orange contract sim. After looking at various smartphones i decided on the E3, so looked at the cost of a sim free compared to PAYG for the same model and it was cheaper getting PAYG even with the topup that you have to purchase with the phone, but it was cheaper to get this direct from EE.
got one and it would not charge as in showed not signs of charging and then would not turn on, so took it to shop and got sony phhne number so then phones EE CS and they sent replacement without a back, which was pointless and useless, so their exec office sent a new phone which wont charge over 90% and then discharges to 0% in about 2 hours while doing nothing so this seems faulty0 -
can you go back to a EE shop and exchange for another 1 or did you buy it by phoning EE direct and it was delivered by delivery company to your propertyLet them eat cake (Marie Antoinette 1765)0
