Good luck on that, I would say you are unlikely to be successful, your insurance will have T's and C's. Was your illness already diagnosed by a doctor or waiting to be?
  • i had been to the doctors and got diagnosed with flu but was feeling better then yesterday felt ill again so went back to the doctors and she said i had picked up another bug and a urine infection which was making me feel worse. I did ring the insurance people up and explained i didn't want to cancel my policy but on the website it has a line through the insurance now. The woman i spoke to said they had to ring me to confirm the cancellation but don't know now. Looks like i will end up losing all of it. Thanks for your help though

I'd check, because if you have a pre-diagnosed illness, it will void your insurance.
  • will it void it for having flu ?

Well it was pre-diagnosed, so yes, as were the other illnesses.

What are you talking? How can influenza be a pre-diagnosed illness?

Oh yeah, I had the flu last year, so if I get it again this year, my insurance is null and void.

    A thoroughly silly post.

Was this some kind of last minute booking? Usually, to cancel insurance, it should be within 14 days of purchase. Otherwise what benefit was there to cancel it?
