  • Hello everyone

It's a bit wet here today so I'll need to wrap up when I go out this afternoon. The fireworks were still going off last night and we will probably get more going off tonight.

Started doing some Christmas shopping this week with the purchase of a pair of slippers for Dad. If I can pick up bits and pieces each week in November it should mean that I'm not running around like a mad woman in December! :D

Rose Hope you are ok. :)

Hope that everyone has a enjoyable Saturday.

Sheils, that made me laugh about the geese chasing your DH! :D That's great you got a hol for March :)

Have you had t/a tonight fire**fly? I got the kids a pizza but I didn't fancy anything tonight, just have pasta later :)

It sounds like you've had a wonderful week with your family Alfie :) You deserve to be spoilt!

Have a nice time Sylvia at family's house. Hope your GD had a lovely birthday yesterday :)

Rose, hope you are ok and the shoulder pain is easing xx

I agree with you indie, it's too xmassy everywhere already! I like it best when it's in the beginning of December too!

3for, it's the same here with fireworks going off still. The dogs going crazy at them and I can't wait till it's all over with. I like to see them in the air shining but hate the loud bangers.

I took DD2 for eye test today and she now needs glasses too. :o there's only son who doesn't! So far she only needs them occasionally but that's how DD1's started off and her eyesight is terrible now! Anyway afterwards the girls conned me in to buying lots of different clothes what they liked for Xmas! I only went into town for opticians! :p

All my DH's family still like the Xmas cards sent fire**fly. I hate writing lots out at Xmas, would just prefer to send to close family. I don't have anywhere to hang them up anymore.

I've had a twitching eye all day today. Looked up possible reasons and I think it must be stress or tiredness as it's certainly not alcohol! More like lack of it! :D

thanks wingo, good to know it's just not me that still
    sends/does them :)
I've just been googling at the card hang ups as we
get loads as well & would be good to have them hung all
    neatly on the wall,

am tempted to maybe order & try,
lol, could be lack of alcohol
hope it's better in the morning x

    Good morning everyone!

Hope you are all well on this better weather to be
    Sunday. :)

Yesterday was not a good weather day, rain and very
windy for most of the day except the sun did manage
    to struggle through late afternoon!

No leaf clearing for me yesterday due to the windy
conditions but apparently today is going to be more
settled so I will be out in the garden later attempting
to clear the zillion+++++ fallen leaves!

I love sending and receiving traditional Christmas cards
too wingo and fire**fly. Can't be doing with the email ecard
    ones!

I've got the most beautiful Xmas card holders that I hang
from the wall lights with red ribbon, had them for many
years but I fear this year I will finally have to replace them
as they are starting to look worn.

Got them from Woolies all those years ago ... bit like
the pic below but slightly more old fashioned, same
design though and the cards are slotted in down
    each side. :D

Must start writing my cards too cos Christmas will be
here before we know it! :santa2:

Have a lovely day all, will pop by in a bit. :)

Glad forecast better for you Alfie. Think our rain is coming back in a few hours and staying.

Had to go to bed early last night as my eyes and head were sore and I felt so tired, don't know why. Seemed to sleep well anyway.

I don't send that many cards especially not by post. We have a day walking round the town delivering them. No-one I know sends e-cards. I have old strings and pegs to hang the cards up with. Used to have them everywhere when the kids were at school, only get a fraction now when just the 3 of us at home.
Hope everyone has a nice day and has nicer weather than we are supposed to get.
