Great that it has arrived before you go Sylvia. Hope family enjoy them.
You sound very busy. Hope you have a good journey.
Before lunch it turned dark here and fine rain. It's been cold, dark and miserable ever since. We've put heating on.
One good think it might stop some of the fireworks tonight. Saturday we had youngsters throwing fireworks at cars! Always feel for pets at this time of year.0 -
sounds great sylv :j fab win :j
gorgeous pic this morning thanks
hope all went ok with scan & HA clinic ((hugs))
been raining on/off all day here & went dark around
3 this afternoon leanfun,
have heard some bangers in the distance this evening,
I always feel for the pets too & especially the wildlife,
awful the young ones throwing fireworks aboutplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Well, now I know I have lost the plot LOL. Drove to the hospital, queued for half an hour to get on the car park, paid £2.50 for parking only to find the appointment was yesterday! DH, looking on the bright side reminds me that had I gone yesterday we would have gone to DD's today and missed the lovely Cornish Sausage delivery.
Hope you have all had a good day.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Aw, lol Sylvia! Hope you get another app soon! Glad you got the sausage hamper too, the cracked black pepper one sounds nice
Sheils, go for it! If you've found an ideal break for Xmas I would get it booked
Well done on the hamper win fire**fly :j I love to see the nuts and nibbles out at Xmas
Ooh that's twice I've mentioned the X word, I must be getting excited! Not sure I'm looking forward to advents though!
That's great having your family over still AlfieI bet you're getting pampered are you? :A
Hope you've had a lovely day leanfun and the rain has eased off
It sounds like the fireworks are easing off here now so I can put my bins out now! I didn't dare earlier incase the youth nicked it for the bonfire! I don't like loud fireworks anyway.
Glad it's friday tomorrow!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Haha Sylvia had to laugh at your hospital visit.
Wingo I wouldn't go away for Xmas. I don't approve of staff being forced to work and look after other people when they should be allowed home to be with their own families. Will probably just have a short break somewhere I can get some Xmas shopping.
Do they really pinch bins for the bonfires?Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Ho no Sylvia how frustrating. It happens to all of us at times.
Hope you get another appointement soon.
Rain stopped earlier and thankfully it's been very quiet here tonight.0 -
They do Sheils! They would pinch anything they can get hold of if it keeps the bommy going! I'm glad my kids stay in.
I've always fancied going away for new yr but never ever went. Dad wanted to take mum away for their anniversary Boxing Day but he isn't allowed to fly or venture far. He has relatives in Bath he hasn't saw for yrs but I still think that's too far for him to travel.
I think it's still raining here leanfun but it hasn't stopped the fireworks! Just when you think it's all quiet then another massive banger goes off!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Good morning everyone!
Hope you are all well on this tad wet weather Friday!
Blimey, yesterday here the sky came over very black
and it started raining cats and dogs and frogs!
Then by the time it was evening the wind kicked in ...
so all in all quite a dismal weather day!
Apparently it's going to be similar today but on the
bright side of things it's still mild.
My lovely family and I still went out, despite the weather
and had a brilliant time ... went to the local garden
centre in the New Forest and had a scrumptious cream
tea. It certainly wasn't the weather for looking at the
plants but they have plenty going on indoors too and sell
lots of quirky items not just for the garden but for
the home too (which I love). We must have spent a
couple of hours there, then later they treated me to a
lovely meal. So had an excellent day!
Felt really sorry for the NF ponies and donkeys though -
they look soooo miserable in the rain. A large family
of donkeys even tried their luck at coming into the
garden centre but were swiftly shown the exit!! The
problem is the tourists feed them which is a no no then
the donkeys (and ponies) look upon people as easy
targets for a bit of food! The pub in the village even had
to put a wooden fence around the tables outside to stop
the donkeys from becoming a nuisance! They are kinda
cute though.
Hope you all have a wonderful winning day, I will pop by
later.

Was raining here most of yesterday and set to do the same today and forecast bad for next few days too I think.
Love your illustrated story this morning Alfie. Glad you had a lovely time despite the rain.
Only heard one lot of fireworks go off last night. I think most people will set theirs off on Saturday. No displays near here as usual which is disappointing. We went to Carlisle for the night last year to see some but hotels are expensive on Saturday nights and we had a long walk back (traffic choka) Also pubs and restaurants mobbed so ended up having a burger in MacDonalds and queuing for ever for the loo so decided against it this year. Do like fireworks though.
Hope everyone has a lucky day and stays dry.
