I need to let off steam.
I've had another run in with the school, this time it's my DD1. I got a message while on the course with her panicking and upset saying she was put on the spot in class by the teacher and told to come to the front of class to do a demo. My DD is autistic and it's stated clearly on her statement not to put her in a position where she would have an anxiety attack but they did just that and then the class moaned at her making her feel more upset that she had a panic attack and eventually ran out to the toilets where two teachers then got a key and brought her out and tried to put her in isolation room! This again causes panic attacks and they phoned me to say they were excluding her and were going to send her home, alone and in a vulnerable state. I told them not to let her go until someone came for her. A teacher from my school had to collect her with me as she was so upset. DH has been for a meeting and demanded a meeting with principal who refused at first but then changed her mind when we mentioned where else we would take the matter. We have a meeting next week sometime.
Sorry for the long rant but I was so upset myself by it all I had to come out of course for a while. Anyway I've got a number to call to sort things out now.

wingo - I'm so sorry to hear about your poor DD1 and
the way the school treated her yesterday ... in fact I was
lost for words when I read it ... and that doesn't happen
very often. Shame on them.

This can't go on - it's time to take a stand .... I do hope
you finally get a meeting with the principal .... meanwhile
sending big ((hugs)) to you and yours. :A Please

Morning everyone and thanks (re - DD :A )
She's ok now and in a calmer state but the school have failed her on so many things. The principal even came right up to her, invading her personal space and pointing in her face....'I will see you later, I'm disappointed in you'. Without going into too much detail of the state she was in she eventually wrote an emotional piece asking why can't people understand her. Anyway, I've got times, dates, events of everything that has happened with in the school and hoping to have a representative in the meeting too.

Hope the rain clears up for you Alfie. It's mild here at the minute. Are you busy in the garden today?

Have a good trip to the market indie and hope you find some good bargains We hardly have any markets now here. They used to be busy.

It was spooky here yesterday and Monday morning too fire**fly as it was foggy and there were spider webs everywhere! It looked like a deserted town! Speaking of spiders....I saw one run under my bed last night but then couldn't find it and wondered if I was seeing things! : o Guess who couldn't sleep last night?

Gonna have a quick cuppa before work. Hope it's a lucky day for us all

Good morning all, its spooky here too at the moment. Not enjoying this weather at all.

Wingo - Big Hugs, this is the last thing you need at the moment. Glad you are getting a meeting. Please make sure you DO have a representative with you as you can be sure the Principal will not be alone. You can moan here any time you want, thats what friends are for.

Must get on as running late today.
