lol, I've not been out the door since this morning as it's
been raining all day

I'm afraid I had to temporarily give up the leaf clearing
in the end!

It got soooooo windy that as soon as I had raked up a
pile of leaves, another thousand blew off the trees and
bloomin' well covered the places I had just cleared! :eek:



Oh well, will get out there again tomorrow and have
another go.

You have done well sheils with your mammoth clear
out! Great to have a good stock up too.

Your GD sounds lovely sylv, so pleased she enjoyed
her birthday.

Great you got some lovely bargains with M&S leanfun!
I am quite a fan of their goods.

Gosh it isn't half windy out there! It's been blowing a gale all day here too and Jaspers scared of the wind so he moved his bed which is normally near French doors, to the other side of dining room!
Jaspers said thanks for his bday wishes he enjoyed his bone!

Alfie, I have a similar card holder to you too which I've had for yrs. Mine plays 'jingle bells' too but the battery is almost up now! I used to hang them on the wall lights but I've taken them down now so don't want to fix them to wallpaper. I like that idea fire**fly like the one on amazon where it hangs down the banister. I think I will do that this yr, thanks for idea.

I think almost everyone has one of those junk rooms Sheils! You put stuff in there out of the way and it accumulates! We are having to clear out spare room what we called 'computer room' (until we got iPads! : o) as it's going to be DD's bedroom.

Leanfun, that's great you don't have to pay extra p&p to USA from M&S. I've seen a few websites from USA with lovely stuff but p&p isn't worth paying for.

Well we had the meeting with school today. Principal still wouldn't see us but the deputy did and we hopefully got our points across and explained where we weren't happy. They made some notes so we will see how things progress and we have parents eve tomorrow for the older two. It was my DD2's tonight in primary school and she is well above average in all her lessons. The only thing they weren't too impressed with her was that she refused to smile for a class pic as she has a gap in her teeth and is self conscious about it!

Yeah that's what I said fire**fly and my DD1 had a gap in her teeth at that age and now has lovely teeth
I think the wind has died down now thankfully!

Back to the leaf clearing for me today. :eek: The wind
has calmed down a bit at the mo so I'll see how it
