It's very quiet in here, are you all busy doing Christmassy stuff? :-)

Me and the kids made some Christmas sugar cookies last night. Going let tem ice them tonight. The batch was huge, so froze half the dough. Then we can make some more on Christmas Eve.

Try not to worry too much about the burglary Whitesatin. I'd leave a light on a timer, and make sure your windows and doors are all locked and alarm set. We got broken into in the summer, but it was because we left the back door unlocked. I stupidly took my sons word it was locked and didn't check as I wasn't well and went to bed early. Luckily I went down to sleep on the couch. So they must have came in and seen me and just grabbed a few jackets off the bannister. They did get house and car keys and a wallet. We were lucky though as they had dumped it all apart from the wallet under a bush up the street, we got them all back recently. But if our door had been locked they would have went on past. X

Just a very quick note to say that my daughter had her baby boy early this morning, so it has been quite a night. No real details yet but he was 9lbs 3oz I think. I have got the boys off to school and am hoping she will be allowed home today. No name yet. x

    Morning/Afternoon :D

Princesskitty – turns out I only had 130 as I had jumped 80 numbers at one point on the list DOH :rotfl: Have you tried in Wilko’s for a frame? I went to the bigger one nearish to us on Sunday and they had quite a good selection.

Nic – the cushions look fab

Babyboo – YAY conragtualtions on the arrival of little Harper, beautiful name!!

Vulpix – I LOVE the homemade selection box, I’m quite tempted to do this for DH.

MrsHoneybadger – Chatsworth is always so lovely at Christmas, did you do the house? We went to the market and round the house the first day it opened (me, my mum, mil and some others go every year!)

Whitesatin – WooHoo congratulations!!! Very good weight, can’t wait to hear the name :D

I have skimmed through so apologies I know I have missed people!

Christmas decs are all up, although i'm still moving things around and trying to get the Christmas tree decs just how I want :rotfl:
    I need a few more baubles I think :p
Finally finished writing all the wedding thank you's and i'm around 1/2 way through the xmas cards now, should be finished by tomorrow and then it will be mass delivering!
I have Smooth Christmas on almost every day and i'm on my own in the office today so have it on :D
Christmas present wise I think i'm pretty much there now, odd bits left to get which I will have over the next week and now i've seen Vulpix's selection box I may have to do one for DH, as he only has a toblerone so far.

Hugs and christmas cheer all round :santa2:

Vulpix-Thank you for the suggestion, I will have a look. I went to the pizza shop near me and got their largest pizza boxes for a small fee. Going to wrap them and use them to make a selection box each for the kids.
nic2075-I was thinking it was very quiet too, I hope everybody is ok x Sugar cookies sound nice, what recipe do you use please? I need to start filling the freezer with some christmas goodies now x
newthrift-I love smooth christmas! Bet you are glad that the wedding thank yous are done. I too want to know where the snow is. I love love love snow.
Another day of not much done lol I was at drs for routine check and ended up with ear spray and anti histamine as have inner ear problem and sinusitis AGAIN! Being referred to ENT as its a recurring issue. No point having antibiotics as the problems come back as soon as I finish them so needs sorting by a specialist Dr says.
Christmassy things need to be done as am having withdrawal symptoms lol xx May wrap some gifts if I get chance tonight.
    Hope everybody is ok x

I really enjoy reading everyone's prep ideas.

I am back home now but hated leaving the lovely new baby behind but I am exhausted and I have a friend coming to stay tomorrow for a couple of days. She comes every year and Christmas starts then for me as we really enjoy Christmassy things.

A family celebration at the weekend for various birthdays then off to France for three days on Monday to the Christmas Markets. It's all go.

Hubby playing Christmas carols on the radio right now. I fancy a Harveys Bristol Cream, lol.

Huge congratulations Whitesatin. Hope you have a fab time with your friend and enjoy your trip to France.

Feisty hope you're settling into your lovely new home - who could have known this time last year that you'd be getting two of your dearest wishes come true? :j Just an improvement in DHs health to go now.

MrsI I think your friend may have a point lol.

Free I'm sure I was going to say something to you but can't remember what it was so I'll just hope thumper is ok.

Sorry I haven't been posting - have started a couple of long posts but for one reason or another didn't finish them. I'm reading every day though. It's DDs birthday on Friday so her cabinet will be going at last. As soon as that's done the tree will go up and then Christmas begins. I haven't listened to any Christmas music yet so must do that very soon. I have put 'it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas' as the ringtone on my phone though :D
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

I followed a post from Pinterest. The Blog was called Sweetopia I think. I searched for Christmas sugar cookies and I liked the look of the elephant ones (dough looked good) be warned, of you make it, leave plenty time to put the dough and cut our shapes in the fridge for an hour. I forgot and started them too late. So some spread a lot and the colder later batches kept their shape x
