0462 I know what you mean - takes a while to realise it's your phone. Problem for me is that I want to listen to the song so risk people hanging up before I answer lol. The caramel highlights sound gorgeous. Good luck with the wardrobe cull x

    whitesatin - Congratulations! :j

Just this morning I've submitted my essay. I dont usually leave it until the cut off date but at least I didn't need an extension in the end! :rotfl:

Now I can think about christmas! I have some crafting I need to do for an (unofficial) OU craft group swap we do at christmas. :T

I've got a pretty animated (and musical) christmas tree countdown background on my phone right now. It informs me there are 22 days to go!

Hope everyone's as well as can be!

Just trying to catch up at home and going through these posts. I can't see an update from Caz re her appointment the other day, I know her pains stopped but wonder if there is any news?

Our little nameless grandson (I want to call him Vincent but obviously not my decision) is trying to feed but is a bit tired, poor thing. Hopefully he will get the idea soon, lol. My daughter still sounds exhausted and is trying to grab some sleep. Thinking about it, I think I preferred when new mums were kept in hospital a bit longer, to give them a bit of time to rest with help on hand. With my first, I was in for the routine 10 days (too long really) and, with my second, 2 days (not long enough as I had a thirteen and a half month old at home and could have done with a bit more time). Funny how things change over the years. My mum was in a nursing home for two weeks each time, many moons ago, of course.

Anyway, I have today to get all the decs in order, to cook a 3 course meal for my friend and generally get my act together. My daughter in law just dropped off her washing as she has problems with her electricity so I am popping that in the machines for her to collect later. Just call me Wonder Woman, lol. I don't mind really, I enjoy being helpful. Looking forward to trying a sherry I bought months ago following a tasting session. It was described as "Christmas pudding in a glass" and we bought a small bottle (£42!). Shall be breaking that open with my friend this evening but just having a (very) little one. At that price it will have to last till New Year!

Hope you are all having a nice, festive time. x

Hope you are ok Freespirit? X

That all sounds exhausting Whitesatin but sounds like you will have a lovely time with your friend.

04624181 caramel highlights sounds lovely, nothing better than getting your hair coloured to feel good. I have too much grey coming in far too quickly :-(

I'm waiting patiently for payday so I can get the rest of the presents. I'm down to my last £10 (plenty food in the freezer and petrol in the car) so I'm dying to buy things but nothing to buy it with yet. Just keep making lists so I don't forget what I'm getting or go off plan and spend more.

Hope you all have a good day. Taking my DD on a playdate in a wee while.

  • Thanks 04624181 and Money Mission for your comments on the new build, we really love the look of the floorplans but we have decided to wait until the New Year, if it goes before then it wasn't meant to be ours. It's just that once we commit we have to exchange on our house by the end of Jan and there would be so much to do before Christmas. We've decided to relax and see where we are in the New Year.

04624181 Poor DD and her ear infection, it can't be nice. I hope the specialist can help you with your ear too.

whitesatin CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW GRANDSON! How exciting for you! You will have to let us know the name as soon as you hear it!

newthrift phew I bet it was a relief you didn't have to write that many! Thanks for the info on the frame, I think i'll definitely check Wilko's out.

I think Wiggle is doing better now, his cold has finally gone, we just have to hope the antibiotics are clearing up his ear infection. Although I dropped his medicine on the floor yesterday so had to get a new lot this morning! We have a few decorations up, I brought the boxes downstairs the other day and thought Wiggle could help me with some of the soft things - what was I thinking??!! I took the lid off and before I had a chance to do anything about it he picked up a snow globe and then just dropped it so it smashed everywhere! Luckily it smashed in the box and not on the floor so I just put the lid back on and tried to pretend it hadn't happened..... :p We're doing the tree on Saturday so i'm looking forward to that. I'm also planning our North Pole breakfast for Saturday morning! :j I've got us a present each too; Wiggle is getting a Nativity book, DH is getting a bottle of Bulmers and i'm getting a lip balm. :) I wanted to show you a picture of our hot chocolate station but Photobucket isn't letting me upload the picture.

    Evening all
    Hope everyone is well
Neighbour's cards all hand delivered, just a few a bit further afield but still walking distance to do. All work cards were taken in today and put in the postbox for the elf to deliver.
Need to wrap some secret Santa gifts as they need posting by the weekend.

Hope everyone is as well as can be and getting there with their plans.

clumsy42-well done on finishing another essay, bet that was a huge relief x
whitesatin-hope you have a fantastic time with your friend, the christmas pudding in a glass sounds lovely x
nic2075- I am afraid my grey is coming round all too quickly now, going to have to increase how often I get my highlights done. Hope you had a good playdate. I too am waiting for payday to finish off the bits.
princesskitty29-hope wiggle is doing ok and his ear infection cleared up x Im planning NPB for tomorrow too, cannot wait x
babyboo-hope you manage to get your ringtone sorted.
mrsmoneypenny- you are very organised, i love the work postbox idea x
My highlights are lovely, im really pleased as its completely different. also had alot cut off it. I have VERY long hair so had about 3 inches off and had lots of layers put in and a long fringe. My hair was probably just touching the bottom of my back(before it turns into your bum lol)
We got a church christmassy event tonight for the kids so going to go shopping for all the supplies later with the hubby as he has booked the day off so we can organise this. There is a new craze in USA called minute to win it.Apparantly its a tv show but the games are amazing so we doing decorate a tree decoration then minute to win it games. Lots of christmas music, food and fun x
