my goodness. i had 5 pages to catch up with from the last time i came on. lol
Thankyou for the comments about the copyright issue.. i shall be doing lots of redesigning next year after taking advise from a person in the know. Annoying but touch wood its been sorted now.
we have had such a busy half term and a fab halloween. i even dressed up lol. i've done some more xmas shopping the last few days.. playdough my lil pony thing half price in argos, a peacocks order and also grabbed 3 adult xmas jumpers for 4 pound each in there. Also grabbed a 2ds with mario karts on and a shopkins playset (using clubcard points i only had to pay £2.99) I really need to buy my older 2 daughters some pressies now though lol.
Oh also went in card factory and they had some fabulous large hessian sacks in there and some felty bright coloured elf/santa/reindeer (i think) ones all for 99p each. Perfect for leaving the xmas eve pj's etc in.
Its all coming together nicelyjust need to hunt out something for my stepdad now as my plan of making them all something little fell through as we found some gadget things for most people that dh is making up.. so still cheap but look and could sell a whole lot more than our budget.

I'm having one of those days! Came home from shopping and managed to open a door and bounce it off the edge of my glasses. My nose was not impressed! Also just nearly tripped up the stairs. I better stay sat down where I can't hurt myself. :rotfl:
Next didn't have the MLP shirt. I suspect this is because it's a short sleeved top and they had mainly long sleeved ones out instead. Will have to do a click and collect cause I really hate paying postage nowadays!
Got some christmas bits in Tesco. Cinnamon biscuits (speculoos?) and mini gingerbread men.
Hope you're all having a good day.“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”

I'm with you on the postage Clumsy, I always try to do click & collect as much as possible.
On the reverse of that, I was a bit miffed today with Matalan. I placed an order, had it delivered to store and picked it up last week. But there were a few things I want to send back because I bought extras to choose high colours/pattern I preferred. Packaged it all up, put the address label on it, took it to the post office and the lady on the counter said it's not a free return address so I'd have to pay for the return. I told her I won't bother and I'll take it to the store. It's really annoyed me because most big retailers now offer free returns so I was really surprised that Matalan don't and now I've got to make a trip to the store to return the stuff.
Anyway, that's my rant over.0 -
No wrapping done today.
Spent the day trying to sort out a mix up with medicines. The chemist dispensed incorrect tablets to me. Luckily I noticed and didnt take them but it left me short over the weekend. Went in today to complain and the pharmacist was very apologetic.
Tomorrow is going to be a full day wrapping!0 -
Evening everyone, present wise i am now officially finished :T i ordered some pjs for thumper and a happyland train set (reduced from £50 to £20), any toys i buy him stay at mine so he always has a good choice to play with and i was going to get clothes but he had a fair old pile off everyone for his birthday so i thought you can never have enough pjs when they are little! I am a very very very bad person. May have just ordered another £40 worth of Christmas presents for the girls off amaz@n. Lots of adult colouring books, top model design sets, pens & pencils.
With a 7 year age gap, its amazing they want anything to do with each other, so I am encouraging the fact they love to colour together.
I really must stop buying though, this was supposed to be a small Christmas. I justified it to dh because I've recently been given extra hours at work. Only until end of the academic year though, so we don't want to get used to the extra money :-)It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
Thank you all for the birthday wishes for yesterday, I had a lovely day even if it was pretty hectic. I definitely felt a year older by the time they'd all gone at tea time lol.
Head like a sieve today so I've forgotten what I was going to say in reply to posts now - apologies. I do remember that you said you got the Happy Land Train Freespirit - that's the one I got that was reduced to £25 then went down again to £20 after I bought it. Must say that ELC/Mothercare were as good as their word and gave me the £5 difference when I went in there on Saturday.
Ooh I do remember Irish Rose you said you watched Flight of the Reindeer - I love that film. Am watching The Greatest Christmas Party Ever at the mo although I have seen it quite a few times already ha ha.
It really does feel like Christmas is coming - thanks for heads up on the JL advert too whoever posted it (see, head = sieve).
Still no email from Studio regarding wanting to cancel my order but I messaged them on FB and they replied and said they've sent the message to the right department. If I don't hear in a couple of days I'll be messaging them again.
Going to make a list of all the little bits I need to get to finish off the pressies I've started so then I can get them wrapped. Now DGD has gone home the pressies can come back out from their hiding places lol. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
good morning, well morning at least. A glum but resigned mrs l this morning. l didn't get to the alice cooper/motley crue bash after all. Reality kicked in and pointed out to me that l am asleep at 9 pm, that l cant stand for 20 mins let alone 4 hours and so l gave my tickets up to one of DS2s friends who has promised me a memento of the gig, l said the least expensive thing they do, or better still a good photo. Anno Domini rules, eh?
the two Halloween partys were fun tho, even tho l am suffering for it, both were fancy dress which l didn't do, as..... Real Witches Don't Need To Dress Up.
DGS was delighted with his birthday presents but miffed that he had to go to school on his birthday, compounded by yet another detention for not doing his geography homework.
One of my friends came visiting yesterday, she is in the middle of divorce and came to tell me what her ex had offered as a settlement;
13 milk churns, 1 border fine arts thingy of a tractor and an anvil! what the heck is that about?
More Christmas wrapping will be done today and listed then ticked off (saddo, l love ticking things off a list when they are done)
Serendipity wise, last night instead of rocking my sox off l had visitors, fave niece and hubby +babe, then friend who was one of mr ls carers, then divorcing friend, so no time to feel sad .
DGS asked yesterday on the way to school in the fog 'Is mist called mist because it makes everything look ''mist-erious''?'
OK time to wake the darling boy ready for school, l may be some time. xx0 -
Hi everyone,
Hope you are all well and had a good weekend. Also happy birthday to those who are celebrating.
My Christmas Crackers arrived today from an etsy seller. They are lovely and have put me in a very festive mood.
I also ordered some more tree decorations but have to stop now as I have way too many.
04624181: Very organised, Hope you have a good wrapping day.
starlet1990: Thanks for letting us know about the JL ad - exciting.
Free: You've reminded me to get some chocolate oranges. It wouldn't be Christmas without them.
Those crackers look fab! I wanted a chocolate orange, but Mr Feisty prefers the segsations lolfreespirit66 wrote: »Evening everyone, present wise i am now officially finished :T i ordered some pjs for thumper and a happyland train set (reduced from £50 to £20), any toys i buy him stay at mine so he always has a good choice to play with and i was going to get clothes but he had a fair old pile off everyone for his birthday so i thought you can never have enough pjs when they are little! Free I am so envious of you being finished! We haven't really even started! I'm hoping to get most bits in the nectar double up and deals for the various stores.
Does anyone know if Boots do the order to store thing or do you have to pay online and then pick it up? ToysRus do the click and collect with payment in store so you can use vouchers. It's just I want to use my Love2Shop vouchers and I know that are local selection can be a bit pants
