Ooo it certainly feels festive outside this morning!
Slight miscalculation with this mornings alarm, I had to reset my phone and forgot to put the alarm on! Luckily I always have 20 minutes in bed catching up on email, so it just meant I couldn't do it as was up 30 minutes later than I should be, baby brain![/COLOR]2024 Challenges
Live in the moment more and appreciate the small things0 -
Happy Birthday for yesterday PeppaPig, hope you had a fantastic day.
Murie-hope your husband has a nice birthday on friday x

Kaya1991-Glad you had a great birthday, oooh let us know if there are any good deals on x
Freespirit66-I have had no luck with £1 scratch cards yet either. Cutlery holders! You have just reminded me that I bought some cheap tree decorations in january sale that I am going to use as coasters and cutlery holders. eeek excited now!
MoneyMission2015-This thread is great and everybody is feeling the same. WHen the fog/mist came we all felt like christmas is near! Like minded people brought together share christmas cheer!
FunnyBunny-good luck with the 3 for 2 x Hope you get everything you need
Irishrose12-What a result getting your BHS delivery delivered to home for no extra cost! I have ordered 2 sets of settee cushions from there and although not heavy they were very bulky. Walking back to the car was a nightmare. Lazy days are good for the soul x
Mrs Moneypenny-Sounds like a fun halloween where you live x
Clumsy42-Good luck with Next today, hope you get what you need.
White satin- Your tartan lambswool blankets sound lovely x Good idea with the kids buffet. Basing it on my children 5 and 13, I would probably do the usual sausage and bacon rolls for them to have as they love them, turkey wraps, usual sausage rolls and buffet suspects etc and maybe a bowl of roast potatoes they can much on. sorry if that doesnt help, will have a think for you xx
FeistyFidget-Your wedding Cake was amazing! I am sure that the house will get done in time. Just think it will be worth it when you are sat in the house enjoying your first christmas as a family next year. Telling us all about jrs first birthday xx Memories will be made in that lovely family home so IF the workdoes end up taking a little longer, you know it will be worth it in the end
Well today will be wrapping, bagging and listing all gifts!! kids back at school so operation CHRISTMAS WRAP will be under way in my way to packed loft room lol xx
Big Hugs and christmas sprinkles xxx0 -
Belated Happy Birthday to Peppa and Kaya.
I ordered a load more Christmas presents on the weekend so just waiting for those deliveries and then I think it will be time to take a trip in to the city centre to get some inspiration for a few people.
I had the Christmas music on in the car on my way to work this morning and now that I'm in work I just want to put more Christmas music on, but I guess instead I should get my head down and get some work done :rotfl:0 -
Morning Christmas crackers!
I ordered my park vouchers for Christmas 2016 and will set out a standing order so the money comes out each week! I've gone for the Primark and love to shop bundle as I have a primark in my local town and they are fab for pj's and clothes for the boys. Not had any this year for the 1st time in a few years and will really miss them!
My boys are off for teacher training today so not going to get anything christmassy done today. Although I might see if the boys want to make some salt dough decorations for the tree.
Hope everyone has a fab day x0 -
Not had a chance to catch up here, will try later in week. Just popping in to say Breithla shona to all of those who had birthdays. Hi everyone,
Hope you are all well and had a good weekend. Also happy birthday to those who are celebrating.
My Christmas Crackers arrived today from an etsy seller. They are lovely and have put me in a very festive mood.
I also ordered some more tree decorations but have to stop now as I have way too many.
04624181: Very organised, Hope you have a good wrapping day.
starlet1990: Thanks for letting us know about the JL ad - exciting.
Free: You've reminded me to get some chocolate oranges. It wouldn't be Christmas without them.0 -
Afternoon all - it's November woohoo! Going to watch the first Christmas film of the year tonight
Peppa I have to admit the fake grass does look really good, if we didn't have a wedding to save for I'd definitely do the back garden too
Free it looks like he was very spoilt on his birthdaywhat exactly is a shadow box though? Looks lovely and festive!
PrincessKitty that's a good idea about Pinterest, I've started venturing onto recipes and think I may set myself a similar challenge
Everyone's Halloween decorations look brilliant! We carved pumpkins and put them out front so we got quite a few trick-or-treaters...although I think I scared them too much because I'd done my Harvey two-face make up and they looked terrified lol
Happy birthday Kaya and Peppa, sorry I was late! Hope you both had lovely birthdays
I'm so happy it's November:) it means everyone else has to accept it's not that far away so we're allowed to talk about Christmas in public! I agree about the fog it just makes everything look wintery and festive, starting to get much more excited now!!!!
I'm dreaming... of a white Christmas :snow_grin :xmassmile:rudolf:0 -
_party_ HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY PEPPAPIG! _party_ I hope you had a lovely day.
fiesty I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you move in on time!
freespirit oooh I didn't realise you could get Good Food with Tesco vouchers, we've got lots at the moment so i'll take a look! Thanks.
white satin will the little ones eat a Christmas dinner style buffet? Bits of turkey (or chicken nuggets), potato wedges, carrot sticks, broccoli etc? A hot chocolate station is just an area you set up with hot chocolate, marshmallows, candy canes and anything you want to go with hot chocolate!
It was misty all day here yesterday and today. It was funny yesterday, we went for a walk to the park, came home and started cooking the roast dinner with Christmas tunes on, DH and Wiggle were dancing in the kitchen. When we sat down to eat I had a glass of wine and DH a Guinness and we were saying that it felt like Christmas day! It really did with the roast dinner, Christmas tunes and mist outside! I know the weather isn't great for travelling, but it makes me feel cosy and Christmassy when i'm inside looking out! I started watching Miracle on 34th Street yesterday and wrapped my first presents of the year. I'm going to do a couple a day to keep on top of it.
They inevitable happened today - the £10 tin of Bourbon biscuits I bought from Waitrose are now £5!!!!! Serves me right for being impatient! I'm not sure if i'll be able to take them back or not.0 -
I read on another thread on here that the Nectar double up starts 18th November, just in case any of you are thinking of using your points to buy something. I've got £165 worth and was going to spend them this week, but I'm definitely going to wait now!! There seems to be a lot more categories than last year too going by what others are saying (I didn't do it last year so don't now for sure).
here's the thread, there's some links with the details and categories
