Hi everyone
My Christmas prep is steaming ahead. Dd 2's ps4 has been delivered and dd1's laptop is awaiting pick up. Feel so much better now I've got the kids main pressies sorted. I really start to stress myself out trying to find the best deal and I rarely get stressed about anything so I decided to get the best deal I could, order them and not look again at the prices. Stocking stuff building up, it's to easy with girls lol keep spotting bargains everywhere.
I'm loving the hanging baskety ball thingys. Will check them out in my next book. There is some georgous stuff in there. It is a little pricey but everything I've had from them has been really nice. Spotted a little grey wooden christmas tree in there the other day that will be mine.
Christmas decorating and christmas wrapping are 2 of my favourite things to do. This is much to the amusement of everyone in the family but there all used to me now. In fact my mum and sister use this to their advantage and get me to wrap there pressies.
Nipped to b and m yesterday. Loads of nice bits and pieces in there. Bought a couple of things. Really want to go to the big matalan again. Their christmas stuff is amazing. Dd's chose her advent calender yesterday so just got dd1's to get.
Hope everyone's plans are going well xMarch 2014 Grocery challenge £250.000 -

I ordered some for this year and like you have ordered next years.
Well the drama just keeps on coming ! DD had a seizure last Thursday evening and ended up breaking her nose ,she currently looks like an extra from a bad zombie movie .
Christmas wise things are coming together after a chat we have decided we don't need to go overboard on food /drink.so other than a few extras [pringles/nuts] my shopping will be fairly normal. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. MrsI your outdoor baskets sound great. I might have a go myself as we have lots of greenery around here and my neighbour's holly is covered in berries this year as are lots of the ones in the woods. Do you put them in oasis? I've only tried using real foliage once and it all dried up.
Feisty, I really feel for you with DH but hope you can find the strength to carry on making the effort even if he doesn't seem that interested. At some level I'm sure he is but he must feel pretty bleak about his own future and it's probably stopping him from showing it. My DH was very like this due to health problems although I think we're finally coming out of it now but it must be doubly hard for you two because you're so young and must feel even more robbed than we did.
p-pincher I know exactly what you mean. I think sometimes I get so focussed on getting the best deal I miss out on the fun of buying the present. I'm doing the same as you - get the best deal I can at the time and then don't look at the prices after that!!
Chrissy your poor DD, she's certainly entitled to be a bit fed up (understatement) as are you. Hope the nose heals ok.
Come on Free, we need the lowdown on the weekend lol. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Afternoon everyone, thankyou for all your good weekend wishes, i had a fab time the shopping was fab, i went to Yo Sushi for the first time
DD1 was disappointed with the hotel but i still had a great time, she had ordered a birthday box of chocs for the room, it wasnt there, you are led to believe you will be staying in this country manor hotel but the reality is you check in there and then bedrooms and dining are all in a modern annexe
the lounge was out of use because of a wedding, dinner was nice but nothing special (definitely not 4 star) breakfast was blooming gorgeous though! I enjoyed Bletchley but it was a bit marred with a) a grotty cold and b) my trapped nerve  but i still feel as if i have had a break and that is the main thing! DD1 looked after thumper yesterday because i was still grotty and could hardly walk, but i have him today but am feeling a lot brighter (who wouldnt??) haha. I have felt so yuck that i couldnt even be asked to open my laptop to come on here!
PEPPAPIG oh why did i for some reason think you lived in wales???? :rotfl:Actually we were very lucky with the weather when it turned for the worse on sunday we were in the car starting to drive home. But wow it was busy all weekend around milton keynes is it always like that? You have some fab sized shops, i really enjoyed it!
MOJOWORKING thankyou i did quickly log on my phone to read your answers at the weekend, yes we did really enjoy it, was surprised how busy it was, i dont know why!! i think its because i dont get out much haha

Afternoon people!
The ebay saga continues! Got my refund last week for the item that never came. Yesterday I got a parcel all the way from Korea - the item but in the wrong colour! Not sure why they sent that out when I specifically told them I wanted it in white. Oh well. I've ordered one from another seller instead.
Discovered recently that Next sell a girl's (up to 16 years) minecraft t-shirt. My step niece loves minecraft so I'm thinking about getting that for her. Just need to ask her mum what size she is. I was really suprised to see it because all the minecraft merch I've ever seen is for boys. Nice to see some equality! They also have Frozen, Lego movie, Star Wars, MLP, Minions and DC!

sains toy sale is meant to be starting this wk from the info I've seen most likely tomorrow though its yet to be confirmed and its upto 50% off like last yr though that is mostly on own brand and a few things like nerf /barbie the good stuff is only 1/3 or 25% off like lego but still might be worth a look depending on what ages you have to buy for. they were putting new stock not normally available on the ends in my local earlier which is usually a good indication
Freespirit glad you managed to enjoy the weekend despite your cold
ChrissyG poor dd hope she recovers quickly
on the xmas front got a no walkers tshirt for ds reduced to £3 in primark also picked up a lovely snowflake fleece blanket for our dec 1st hamperthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
Glad you had a good time Free and hope you've had a lovely day with Thumper. Yes Central Milton Keynes is usually pretty busy at the weekends but quieter during the week. Very annoying that parking at the centre is now very expensive (£2 an hour in premium spaces) but fortunately (if you see what I mean) DH has a blue badge so we don't have to pay (although there was talk about changing that a while ago). I live in a village about 8 miles outside MK so it's quieter where I live. I must say I usually go to Bletchley or the out of town retail parks cos that's where The Range, Home Bargains and B&M are
.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0
