Hi all,
I have a confession to make - I am also a Christmas nut!!
I've been in the festive spirit since July and have just this week put one of my Christmas CDs in the car and been having a good sing song on my way to and from work!
I've done a reasonable amount of my Christmas shopping and got a lot of stuff when I decided to swing by Westfield on my way home in the week. My husband was out for the night so I thought, why not go and have a little look. What a mistake! I came home with so many gifts and little bits!
Some of my favourite purchases so far:
- Everything for my husband! I always struggle with what to buy him and when asked his response is always 'nothing'. Anyway, I've managed to find lots of lovely things I think he'll like so I'm really chuffed to have finished him so early!
- Gift boxes from Lush - one for my BIL, one for my work friend. They're not very MSE but they were so festive looking that I couldn't help it.
- Carole King musical tickets for my parents - I wanted to treat them this year as they helped so much with our wedding in the Spring and they've done such a lot for my Sister and her family this year after my youngest Nephew was diagnosed with Leukaemia in the Summer.
- Fold up shopping bag for my Mum - it has a lovely design printed on it and comes with a little pouch so it can be neatly stored in her handbag meaning she can have it to hand rather than buying the 5p bags.
- Hot chocolate gift bags with mini whisks - I got these for my two direct reports as we have a bit of a tradition making afternoon hot chocolate for each other (we even have mini marshmallows in our desk drawers) so I thought it would be a nice thought.
- Little foil wrapped Santa tree chocs - we're now trying to resist them until December! They're sat on the shelf in the lounge, but think I might need to move them out of sight!
I can't wait to get the rest of my gifts, especially for my two Nephews! I also can't wait to choose my boxed cards (got individual cards for my immediate family during the Westfield shop) and wrapping paper!!
Look forward to talking to you all about your Christmas preparations!

Welcome to the festive mad house! I really hope your nephew is doing okay?
After blogging a few weeks back with an update for you lovelies, it inspired me to do my first ever blog video of the house progress so I thought I would share it with you all

I've also gotten round to opening my amazon handmade store and have listed my first 5 (of 105!) items. If anyone would like to give me some constructive feedback, PM me and I'll send you the link

Thanks for the welcome Feisty!
He's doing well, thanks for asking! He was just 3 months when he was diagnosed and he's now 8 months and on his 3rd round of chemo. It's still one day at a time, but I'm feeling really positive that he's responding well.0 -

Welcome to the thread! :j Sounds like you have quite a few gifts already. Hopefully you will be able to pick up suitable gifts for your nephews - presents for children can be really difficult!A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Feisty - the house is looking great. Not long now until you're in.0 -
Wow seems to be a lot of crossover between christmas obsessors and OU students! :rotfl: And it's totally not because we're using the holiday as a reason to procrastinate our TMAs...“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”
